19 yr old teen blind, unable to walk and talk after hazing, wtf?

Just what the fuk, while its a possibility i have never heard of someone IRL getting so drunk that he stops breathing and ends with brain damage


Cliffs:

- Danny Santulli, 19, is blind, wheelchair-bound and cannot speak as a result of the brain damage he suffered
- Last October, he was forced to drink an entire bottle of Tito's vodka and was force-fed beer through a tube
- He passed out in the Phi Gamma Delta frat house and his lips turned blue - but no one phoned 911
- Eventually, his fraternity brothers drove him to the hospital but by then it was too late to undo the damage
- Now, his family are suing two of the boys involved - Samuel Gandhi and Alec Wetzler

Poor ***** prolly didn’t know better. I remember as a teen my first time getting hammered, I drank a whole fifth of wild turkey, plus some smirnoffs. I turned my buddy’s bathroom into a small lake of puke later tho so doubt my bac got that high.

can you do it over the course of one day? maybe. but i imagine that chit went down in like 2-3 hours and he's 140lbs with little to no tolerance (being only 19).

i remember one of my friends telling me about the hazing he had to endure for delta at univ Syracuse which involved some pretty ****ed up **** including retarded drinking sometimes for days on end but a family sized bottle of vodka in one go? that seems like a bit much, what did they expect to happen?

I know a guy who was hazed in the following way: Had to chug out of a handle of vodka until he puked, then drink a little more. Then he was blind folded, put in a car, dropped off and escorted into the woods, spun around in circles, handed a bottle of rum, and told to walk 200 paces into a random direction, THEN he can take off the blindfold. Then he must find his way out of the woods and figure out how to get back home. I'm pretty sure he was expected to drink a good amount of the rum too, but no one would be able to hold him accountable for that ofc.

It's sad regardless of who is to blame. Sucks this dude just went hard as **** one night and it cost him everything. His friends should have reacted sooner, but then again they were also hammered so they weren't using good judgement.

im sure it was just a fifth bromy lawyer says actually we measured it wrong and it was more like a tenth? cause it was only half full. Honestly getting permanetly disabled and blinded from drinking too much alcohol is super common, hear about it all the time. definitely not an obscene amount of alcohol that was funneled into his mouth after he passed out from being too drunk. that would be reckless and here at beta beta beta we are very responsible young men with a great philanthropy we support to attest our high moral charcter.

Yea American college culture is uber cringey with the drinking, partying, slooting, etc... Best thing to do in college is hang out with the ethnics and studymaxx. Certainly don't have to worry about this kind of stuff happening to you.

Only happens in Posh places like Eton here & it is called ****ging-but it doesn't go to the lengths it does over there.
