What op wants is the typical standard choice of successful men to have a stable loving presentable family AND mistresses on the side. I think this is standard and common for the vast majority of wealthy men.
Do I think it is moral and the right thing to do well NO. But it is common unfortunately.

What's common is not what you want to do and I am definitely not on board with having the presentable family at home while you're out engaging in that ^^ type of chit on the side, drawing energy and attention from the stuff at home that actually matters. Nobody is finding and courting many random bangs without it negatively impacting their main relationship.
What I am on board with is wealthy guys spreading out their resources and the high quality of life and advantages it can confer

Just figure out what you desire, and maybe what you desire will require compromises, though maybe those compromises will tip the scale and make you no longer desire said desire... so it takes a lil sitting down and thinking about what your highest desire is
There's also the option of settling down with someone and creating a life, but having her onboard with you fking others. Only a small % of people can do this successfully though
You don't really owe anyone anything, just don't lead them into thinking you're X when you're Y. That would make you a bad boyo. If you let them know what you desire, they're adults and they can make a choice whether they are ok with that are not. If they guilt you into becoming something you don't want to become, that's not your fault. The only thing that would be shady is for you to present yourself and your desires falsely
Your desires will likely change over time too, what you desire today, you won't may not desire tomorrow. Maybe you'll fall for a girl, and want to commit. Maybe you'll say no to commitment, but find you begin to care more about her and protecting her feelings - That's also a shift in desire priority. That's also the reason why people are generally not good at comfiting to anything, their desires and desire priorities shift constantly
Also know that people will get attached to you, even if you present them with all this information, even if they intellectually know you what type of a person you are. But that's out of your control unless you want to live like a hermit and have no interaction with the world. What you can control is being open about what you desire, and letting a person know. If they continue to want more of you than you want to give, that's not your fault, it's on them to better master themselves and to not be a tyrant over another person

Ken, it seems like you are looking for people to tell you it's ok to be a cheater. You're only 30-31? You don't need to rush into marriage if you're not ready to commit. If you're not willing to be monogamous you should be up front with people about that from the beginning. Maybe you'll get lucky and find someone who's willing to live that type of lifestyle. Just remember that if you have children, you'll not only be cheating on their mother but them as well. Kids aren't dumb. They may not pick up on it while young but it seems like they always find out later in life. Do you really want to potentially tear your kids life apart if you get caught?
I also have to lol at you always saying that only people without options don't cheat. This is not true. People who aren't cheaters don't cheat. I was in an unhappy marriage for 15 years (17 total together) and never once thought about cheating. And trust me, if I'd wanted to, I could have.

Sure some guys will have more options than me, some less, but it's a mindset thing.
Let's put it this way, if I had a sister thinking about dating Ken I'd advise her to stay away. He's treading on thin ice.

Yeah cheating isn't cool. Lying, leading on, hiding chit is not cool. Engaging in a ton of risky casual sex with randoms while in a committed relationship will not end well.
I'm all for unconventional relationships but that is not describing an unconventional relationship, that is describing the same ol' conventional relationship with conventional cheating and a conventional, messy, dramatic outcome that I'm sure many of us have seen in older couples around us -- it's just more of the same.

I know there are exceptions, but those are extremely rare IMO. If a man has tons of desirable options, he will exercise those options 99% of the time at least every once in a while.
I get your point, I too would be skeptical about my sister or hypothetical daughter being with someone like me, and I’m the one preaching about all this crap so I get what you are trying to say and I understand.
I simply don’t believe in monogamy anymore. Stopped believing about it from all the years reading about human behavior and all the years of field experience I have on the dating world. Most people don’t give a crap about cheating, they just pretend to be righteous or even worse, they only care about cheating when they are the ones that could get hurt.
Now I’m not saying Id lie to a woman. I simply don’t get what’s so bad about a dude raising a family and protecting his own in all forms, and then just every once in a while going out of his way to fuk a hottie lol. Men can have sex without involving emotions or getting attached, it’s just not the same. Having a second family on the side now that would be fuked up, but just casual sex with some random woman that I won’t remember in one week?
Again, men and women aren’t the same, and can’t be judged the same. Male and female promiscuity are basically opposites, a man has to create value to have options, a woman simply has to say yes. Man I could go way into more detail about this but I’m on mobile.
Some good input from good miscers ITT, generally in good intentions it seems so thanks for that misc
"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

If a girl is the breadwinner and wants multiple dudes, she could try swinging that as well but I think it will be far more difficult.
I have zero problem with the girls doing anything outside of that, living situation and pregnancy is where the only differences exist here. Polygyny is how we would have existed throughout our evolutionary history and it's how animals still exist: guys have multiple mates and provide for multiple families. This idea of banging around and having tons of risky casual sex with random people whose motives you don't understand, that's not what I picture in this type of situation.
If all you want to do is have casual sex with many many different people, I think staying single is the way to go.

1. You use the "im the breadwinner" angle. Thats a cop out. The traditional woman is the home maker. Thats what balances things out in a traditional relationship.
2. You say "having multiple guys under one rough will not end well because of the way guys are" as if having multiple women under one roof sharing a man is any better LOL.
4. "I have zero problems with girls doing anything outside of that" - let me get this straight.....if you were married to a woman....it would be ok for her to have an emotional and phyiscal relationship with another man so long as he didn't live under your roof. Is that your stance? If so.....then more power to you!

According to the New York Times, a 2011 paper showed that early humans, or hominids, began shifting towards monogamy about 3.5 million years ago
The answer is that monogamy became the norm for humans millions of years ago. About 10,000 years ago, it fell out of favor, and then just in the last few hundred years or so, monogamy came back. That’s a complicated answer, but we are a complicated species...
Turning to primates, monogamy is rare, but a pattern emerges when you look at how each of the primate families operates. Dr. Lister mentions that gibbons are monogamous, but they are actually far more "monogamish" than we are. They only pair off for a couple of years at a time, and even then, they usually cheat on their spouses.
That is not true of tamarins, who mate for life and are very loyal to their spouses. We can contrast the monogamous tamarins, and the monogamist gibbons, with the polyandrous chimpanzees, who have sex with everybody. Looking at the family structures of these species, we then see that the monogamous tamarin males provide just as much care to their offspring as tamarin females do, gibbon males help out a little but provide nowhere near as much care as female gibbons, and chimpanzee males don’t help at all.
The more monogamous a species is, the more likely it is that mom and dad work together to raise the young.
And it was the growing cooperation between our increasingly monogamous ancestors that sets us apart from the rest of the primates and gave us the calories we needed post-birth to grow bigger brains and conquer the world.

The richest, most powerful, most technologically advanced societies are all monogamous. And that is because monogamy just produces a better environment than polygamy for human cooperation and development...
Polygamous households are also far more chaotic than monogamous ones. Nations with strong monogamous norms have less domestic violence, less maternal mortality, and less sex trafficking than polygamous societies. Polygamous households have also been shown to have higher rates of abuse, neglect, and homicide of children than monogamous ones.

Lot of "evolutionary" language gets tossed around here, so just wanted to throw this one out there. There are people who have suggested that our ability to commit to a partner through "romantic love" is an evolved adaptation.
Couple of good, short reads on this topic:
https://www.theguardian.com/books/19...uardianreview2
https://web.sas.upenn.edu/kurzbanepb...13/02/21/love/
I believe most of us have the potential to be loyal to a single partner as well as a potential to cheat, and cultural and historical factors can influence us in either direction. Obviously today's society encourages monogamy less than the society of medieval Europe and will tilt more people into cheating.
Think about it this way. If you are going to insist that we are "by nature" not monogamous and that monogamy is purely a cultural construction, you are basically buying into the "blank slate" idea without realizing it. Either all our traits are to some extent genetic, or they aren't. If monogamy has no genetic basis, we are completely malleable as our fundamental nature can apparently be easily changed by social conventions. I doubt this is consistent with most miscers' views of the far left's "blank slate" ideology...

Life has taught me that basically nobody can, monogamy is a social construct at odds with human nature and my stance is that it's better to acknowledge it and adapt in the open rather than hide, lie, cheat, and eventually implode in spectacular fashion. This is even more difficult than what most people do with their monogamous relationships, none of it is easy. Pretending everything is fine on the surface while engaging in bad chit in the shadows, that's what generally happens and is "easier" until it's suddenly not.

Maybe my opinion will change over the next decade or two, but that's what I'm feeling at this point in life

Murder and rape are "natural". We don't go around doing that without severe consequences.

No, rape and murder aren’t natural, you don’t go around everyday feeling like raping or murdering do you? The fact you think it is scares me a lot srs.
Its a false equivalency.

But this would be great if people were actually able to pull it off for 10, 20, 30+ years. Life has taught me that basically nobody can, monogamy is a social construct at odds with human nature and my stance is that it's better to acknowledge it and adapt in the open rather than hide, lie, cheat, and eventually implode in spectacular fashion. This is even more difficult than what most people do with their monogamous relationships, none of it is easy. there are also theories that reject the "lower status" males thing but postulate men wanted investment in their seed. so a man would stick around to protect his offspring
but i do think it's pretty clear monogamy is less chaotic. and people often talk about "religion" being the recent foundation for society but putting monogamy back 2.5 million years ago blows that out of the water

People being able to stay monogamous very long term would be the ideal, that just doesn't seem to happen in reality

Religion, marriage, monogamy, all those things result in a stronger more United society, that works wonders for progress of course. It wasn’t invented just for the hell of it, it has a purpose, it’s meant to control our population and give us some order.
But those who can exit those socially constructed rules, will do it, in 99% of cases.

It’s a very black and white type of thinking, very close minded. Id expect more critical thinking than that.

Consentual sex between two adults isn’t wrong according to most peoples moral compass.
Rape and murder are wrong in the minds of 99.999% of people.
It’s just a childish argument.
