2nd Lumbar MRI, Doctors insight, 4.5+ years of extreme widespread chronic pains help!

So I am still 19. See these old posts that paint a better picture. Last time I posted my MRI report of the entire spine (UK), I went overseas to Sri Lanka and got another lumbar MRI. The doctor is a Neuro physician.

Here are the other links.

MRI REPORT (UK)https://forum.obnoxiousbrutes.com/showt...hp?t=181364393

Upper trap issuehttps://forum.obnoxiousbrutes.com/showt...hp?t=180710083

Posture ideologyhttps://forum.obnoxiousbrutes.com/showt...hp?t=180638743

Here are the new findings in regards to the Lumbar MRI:

Here is the UK findings of my entire spine:

They seem different.

Here is basically what he said (his advice):

Take glucosamine 1500mg everyday for 3 months. (For the cartilage)
Take vitamin d 1000iu everyday for 1 month.
Give physiotherapy a try and fix posture.
Surgery is not necessary.

So shall I just accept this and move on? What do you guys think?

Right now I am laying in bed with extreme pain tightness all over my body, terrible headache with neck muscles feeling like steel cables. Today I couldn't even carry my MRI sheet of paper because the weight of my arms stress my upper traps/necks too much, been like this for years. Anterior pelvic tilt is so severe that my gait is very painful, can't walk longer than 10 seconds without needing to sit down. Quads are on fire. It is unreal. I am so upset.

Thanks.

For everyone else who doesn't know about MRI reports.

Have you ever tackled a severe postural deviation?

Thanks.

I have no idea. I tried stretching my psoas/rectus femoris everyday and now my right knee tendon flicks everytime I take a step/extend the leg at a certain ROM. APT is still horrendous.

Bro listen to me, I used to be just like you.

Buy the book and read it, “healing back pain John sarnos” also the “mind body prescription”. Sounds like you have or at one point have dealt with a lot of internal stress. Read the books, I had horrible mris too. Make sure you keep an open mind in the books and you will be fine.

If anterior pelvic tilt is a serious problem then you need PT. I have 2 bulging discs and pretty much all of them are degenerated. I used to be in agony after trying to do literally anything. I started doing a plank routine and working in a lot more transverse plane of motion movements into my workouts. Cut my pain more than in half and it hasn't caused me to miss a workout since the whole COVID bull**** started.

Some leg swings & deep squats, yoga or whatever

Im wondering if youre actually dedeicated on doing those things since u had this problem for so long
Really? Hmmm. I've always been quite precise in fixing postural deviations, stretching everything may be counterintuitive. What do I know, I haven't fixed **** lol.

Check this thread out. That explained my approach. The knee clicking started when I stretched my quads a lot. I posted the week it happened.
https://forum.obnoxiousbrutes.com/showt...hp?t=181193933

Look at #22 in that thread. My APT is unbelievabley bad. A step forward puts me so crazily far into APT. If I lay flat on my back, I can fit maybe half a melon under my lower back.

Yeah, I stretched to fix anterior pelvic tilt for maybe 45 minutes throughout the day everyday for over a month.

get copies of both scans and send to a well renowned specialist for an online consultation. Why did you fly to sri lanka for the scan, much cheaper?

Take atleast 5g of Vit D a day

And start some yoga. you're probably stretching incorrectly. When doing hip flexor stretches, your core needs to be braced (netrual) otherwise you're just putting yourself deeper in APT

Sounds like your Psoas and Sartorius is jacked up, but im no doctor. There's obviously an imbalance. Check your gait and feet placement as well.

Since the damage isn't too bad on the MRI, and you're young you should probably see a chiro

And fix your stretching routine, that's probably what is making the issue worse. I would stop trying to strengthen your "glutes and hamstrings" and focus on strengthening your core isometrically with planks and vacuums. Try hanging on a pull up bar and contracting your core to release some pressure on your back

Back pain sucks, but you way too young for all that noise

It is actually very helpful. I can't brainstorm with doctors because they simply don't have time, 2nd opinion is available ofcourse, but that only goes so far since they'd have to learn my situation again, which takes time.

If people on here tell lies, it's up to me to detect it and I'm fine with that I guess.

Also here to quote this

I too had back issues and a miscer recommended this book- I was so sceptical about it that the miscer himself bought it for me and had it posted to my address.

I don't 1:1 believe everything in it, but it was hugely important on changing my mindset towards injuries and negative medical ailments: I went from having chronic back pain every single day to some degree, to being fully pain free and training 100% within a very short period of time.

Also going forward if I ever had an injury or back tweak at the gym of some sort, I no longer reverted to the LDAR lifestyle. I now take a more proactive approach in dealing with injuries and niggles and don't allow them to stick around. Tbf it's been immensely important to my training career.

What did you do to your back to end up like this in the first place?

I would generally take the UK MRI as it seems like they did the whole spine and not just the lumbar.

Dude, as I said in the previous thread, your spine is almost impossibly messed up for a 19 year old and honestly I think you did a lot of the damage while your vertebrae were still vulnerable in your teenage years. It's going to take years of dedication to "fix" it, which to me would mean at least getting it to the point where you can take pressure off the nerves and maybe walk and move properly under mild load.

Nobody ITT has even come close to what that MRI says, I know that because I've seen a lot of MRI's in my day and I've only ever seen one before even close to that bad in twenty years of practicing. So advice about books and stretching is almost moot.

Hi, I have heard of bpc-153. Look at the first link titled MRI report UK, here it is anyways,https://forum.obnoxiousbrutes.com/showt...hp?t=181364393

Look at post #23. I have anyway heard of that prior to him aswell, I was exploring all avenues and concluded that it was unsafe for my age. However then I was 17, I'm not sure now. What do you think?

I will respond to ur personal message when I've researched the topic.

Thanks.

I’m well versed in certain things but not trying to get banned again even though none of this is illegal, actually has real human studies behind it. I know exactly what I’d do in your position though.

I don't know, anterior pelvic tilt doesn't sound complicated even when considering widespread chain like compensation patterns. I don't get why nothing works. I'll try again at physio when I'm in UK again.

I see, what was your initial issue aside from bulging discs? How long have u been working on this?

Any idea where to find a good one online? I'd think that I should just follow the NHS stuff.

Well I went on holiday to visit my grandparents, figured we may as well take advantage of the SL rupee devaluing. I have been to many specialists for 2nd/3rd opinions. They don't know.

I feel as if muscular dysfunctions aren't too popular/well known anywhere. Even physiotherapists kind of clam up when asked, e.g, I mentioned somewhat complex postural deviations and my plan to tackle it and they said they don't know :/

This is why you dont take random internet advice, this idiot just told someone to take 5 GRAMS of Vit D a day lol.

Also OP take the hints, your doctors are trying to tell you its in your head not your body. Your fukkin nuts and fukked in the head. Get mental help not physical.
