More than that tho, the biggest BS is that you have no idea what something is going to cost or what your insurance will cover before you agree to it.

Family doctors are 95% of the time a total waste. Basically a gatekeeper for referrals to specialists or minor prescriptions that a nurse practitioner could give. And most where I am only work about two or three days a week and take six weeks off in summer. Yet people whine all the time about not having one.

Be responsible for your own health. A lot of minor issues can be figured out on your own or with the help of a pharmacist and then prescriptions can be had online.

virtual visits for the win. The only time I see a doc in person is for my annual physical. TBH, the 2 PAs there are rather attractive females so I don't mind seeing them. They actually listen.

^This. Ditto for PT and OT in nursing homes. BRB, doing notes off the clock and taking 15 minute lunch break to keep productivity numbers up. Then have a meeting with administrator who wants residents kept on Medicare part A status another week because census is down.
