Gonna be a good series. TB has the better goalie by miles and the championship experience. Avs scare me with their options in the net. But they are scary deep, fast across the lineup and just keep attacking and scoring.

Fuark I haven't seen a team that has so much team speed in forever in a Stanley Cup Final like the Avs.

Maybe Pens when they did the back to back? Funny enough. Hagelin, Kessel, Letang etc.

TB will bounce back though I don't think they get swept. I dono wtf TB was doing though lmao Mcdonagh had a nightmare of a game takes a terrible penalty...then just keeps pinching, and pinching at the blue line, and keeps missing the puck creating odd man rushes.

Maybe TB hit that mile high ganja? Lmao nahhh they got obliterated.

Saw your age...I'm sure you remember when Ray Borque finally got his cup...What a classy move by Joe Sakic at the time.

Yeah, those early years when the Avs first moved here were insane. I was at the infamous game against the Red Wings when Lemieux smashed Draper into the glass by the bench that sent the Avs to the Stanley Cup their first year here and kicked off that rivalry. That was the most crazy sports environment I have ever seen live--that old arena was completely unglued the whole game and then nobody wanted to leave when they won. Won that cup and then a few years later got the one with Bourque. That was another really fun season and the passing of the cup to him by Sakic was amazing.

Can't believe that was 20+ years ago. Just doesn't feel that long. So cool to see the Avs playing really well again. They went through a long streak of being laughably bad.

Man . . . what a game. Avs give up the goal 30 seconds in but battled back. Hard-fought game the rest of the way. Looked like the Bolts were gassed in OT and Kadri gets the weird goal to close it out. Puck stuck in the top of the net and took a few secs to realize the Avs scored.

Lmao why are you so mad? Even if you hate the Avs you have to admit they simply were the better team tonight. TB was completely gassed in OT, and Avs were running circles around them.

So far after what I've seen in this series, I just don't see the Bolts coming back unfortunately...They were completely done in OT in game 4. Although If any team can do it its this one. Avs have to take it tonight otherwise its going 7 and anything can happen.

Great viewing. These were the years I started to really get into hockey. Late 90’s

Also, Mackinnon gets 2 tonight and Avs take the Cup!

I'll def check that ESPN+ rivalry...I also got into hockey Late 90's aren't you a caps fan? Funny enough I grew up in MD, and Northern VA so I was a caps fan for awhile I started watching hockey when they made the stanley cup final in 98. I was at Game 4 in DC when Wings swept and got the cup...Was pretty cool seeing Yzerman lift the cup live...wish I had taken pics, but it was also cool just living in the moment, and not seeing people just snapping pics from their smartphone.

For me Bolts force a game 7...Huge game from the Kuch Incoming.

Ya. Big caps guy. Bondra and Gonchar and Kolzig crew. Moved to Nc the year the Canes did(ironically never watched the whalers and I moved from CT. Kinda grew up a B’s fan) and they used to play Caps on tv over the Canes until canes got exclusive rights

Burakovsky Caps Winter Classic jersey on. Hoping Avs can close it tonight.

Also, late 90’s was the GOAT. Lack of Center Ice sucked though. Spent like 5 years listening on radio.

Jealous you got to see that game. Must have been an awesome moment!

Congrats to the Avs..definitely deserved the win..bolts were totally spent by the 3rd. Tampa deserves to be talked about as one of the best team run in modern day nhl history

First time I kept up with hockey playoffs in my life, these finals series were intense and it's crazy tampa bay could've won three times. Everyone wanted avalanche to win and it was cool to see them win.

Gotta give it to Jon Cooper he's an elite coach I can see why Team Canada picked him as head coach. Always level headed, and just chill. Not a nutcase like Tortorella who's good, but will lose the locker room within 2 yrs, or a raging alcoholic like Bruce Bodreau lol.

Bolts were just gassed. Maybe it's age, maybe it's injuries, maybe amount of hockey played, a combination of those things. But they just couldn't compete with Avs speed.

But full credit to the Avs, so much talent and proof a team built on speed works in today's NHL. Expect all teams to follow and any kids looking to make the league in the future better be working on their skating skills. This sport is only going to get faster, and that's fun to watch.

RIP ECN, Skrilla, Beta, Compan, and Pecan.
