What you are describing is nothing to do with capitalism

It is the result of market protectionism and moral hazard as a result of repeated government bailouts and market interventions

Very few countries have adopted anything even remotely close to capitalism

The market is there to allocate both risk AND returns

To some extent it relies on greed to survive


However if you use public money to bail out private interests when it goes bad (when the risk materialises) then that risk is no longer priced in and we do NOT have a market economy

How many jobs are truly welfare and not actually needed? Those are the ones getting cut first when a major recession is on the way

I’m not being paid for the 20 minutes of decision-making that i do each day (when I’m not on leave)

I’m being paid for the 20+ years of study and experience that preceded each of those decisions

If they got there themselves? Great... They may have produced something

But inheritance? Didnt actually do anything, potentially rewarding bad behavior, taking spots from others, etc., etc.

Businesses don't cut jobs from profitable departments or that are providing necessary output in a cost efficient manner.

Diverting funds, even from executive bonus structures, doesn't make those departments profitable and weakens the company as a whole and puts all employees in jeopardy
