It's smartphones & social media that has destroyed social interaction. It'll likely never be the same again as it was. People just stick to their own small groups & that's it. No one talks to one another anymore in public. I can literally go anywhere & it'll be like everyone is a ghost to one another outside of people they're with or who they're texting with on their phone.

Everything has gotten way worse and yeah everyone is just on their phone or has ear buds in when you go places. My GF is on her phone all day at the house and when we go places. Also always has an ear bud in. But it's like this everywhere now. Work, gym, streets etc. The only conversations i hear are about media stuff but nothing particularly interesting that i can chime in on. I just don't know what to say anymore i used to have so many amazing conversations until about late 2014. It's impossible to get those types of convos anymore ever.

Another day with nothing to do. Nobody talks about anything so there's no way to have any convos or meet people. Just have no idea what to do if things are like this.

I thought a 3080ti would me new life ... But there's nothing on pc that lets me take full power of this graphics card. People with 3080's and below keep hyping up pc graphics, but on a 3080ti it does nothing for me. It must be good being a peasant and being able to game on a much more underpowered card and being wowed by the graphics. I just keep going back to my chitty ps5 to play games because all the games on there look much better than what the 3080ti can do. It's so depressing.

I tried talking to this guy at work about pc components, but he had a 1060 ... I cant relate to him at all.

Wish I could relate to people with xboxes ... Seems like everyone has an xbox ... but nobody has a ps5 or a 3080ti. Everyone talks about gamepass, but nobody wants to talk about horizon: forbidden west. this game has better graphics than anything on netflix or gaming right now.

Just sitting here in front of my pc depressed because I have a 3080ti and realised that nobody has a graphics card that provides this much value and raw power to me. Everyone else I know is using chitty graphics cards and even things like a 3080 is piss poor compared to my 3080ti .... I cant relate to anyone because i'm in the 00000.01% of people who own this graphics card.

Talked about some video games for a few minutes today but then got hella bored/depressed sitting at my desk and had to leave work again

Just don't know what to do anymore it's impossible to find a remotely in depth conversation anymore

So many people from my job are leaving & I feel like I'm one of the only ones left from when I started. It's depressing seeing others just moving on in life with leaving while I'm still stuck there. I just don't know where I could go to get a job I'd enjoy. I just truly feel if I left my current job for another job it would just be the same thing of going through the motions & have that same never ending feeling of having to keep going into work. I don't know how to escape it. I'm just not mentally built to keep repeating the same tasks over & over & over for years on end without losing my mind. I need to constantly be doing something different or else I get bored & tired fast.

What i don't understand is how people don't get annoyed doing the same things over and over for years and even decade? At work i do the same routine and i see everyone else doing the same damn thing but they are somehow happy with the monotony and routine. It's just too boring doing the same tasks every day for 8+ hours. Everyone has left my job too so it's even more isolating now. Half the days i don't even have work so i just stare at a wall or take long chits. It's like groundhog day.

And none of my coworkers really talk. Everyone is just in their own little world and has ear buds in.

Every day it's the same thing where anxiety flares up around 10 am and i have it all day until late at night or i go to sleep. I don't get why i have to constantly have this feeling.

So depressed right now ... I thought a 3080ti puts me in the 000000000.01% of people who have the highest end pc's but then metro exodus makes my gpu sputter. I feel like a person who has a poverty 3080 and cant push benchmarks anymore. I now regret spending so much on a 3080ti ... can anyone relate? I dont think so because nobody has a 3080ti - one of the best gpu's on the market. I feel so alone and isolated

yeah idk. I was paying girls to hang out with me but they only wanna hang on weekdays or talk when theyre bored at work. Women just disapear on the weekends. it's weird.

also it just gets old going out to eat or watching movies.

That's a big part of it probably. Most people after a certain age are stuck spending all their time with their partner or if they have kids they can't go anywhere. Then what do people even have for hobbies anymore? The only thing that sounds fun to me is going to places I've never been to but I don't have the money to just travel all the time to different places or even have anyone to go with. So I'm stuck at home since there's just nothing to do.
