Servicing plasma, RPTV & CRT TVs/displays. My neighbor when I grew up was a TV technician before he retired right when LCD tvs were popular. I'd visit him a lot because he had a lot of electronics and he would work on old junk TVs, repairing them, to keep his mind sharp. He taught me how to fix older TVs like the plasma and CRT ones; he gave me some tools one day, let me take a piece home and I'd learn how to fix it. If I got it fixed he would sell it and give me half of what he got for it. I got into the habit of tinkering with all sorts of electronics from him, but I'm kinda good at fixing older TVs - a relatively useless skill.

Holy chit another TV repair brah on the misc. I've been doing this since the mid 90's when there was still money in it. Pretty much a dying art now.

I will never understand women who do not protect their children, or their other children. This family is SICK.

I used to play this game called "Don't Starve Together" with a close friend. Her job was to kill all the monsters and my job was to cook all the foods in the game to keep us alive. We had vital signs that would require different foods to maintain, so I would have to find all the resources to build things like a crockpot, fridge, drying rack, etc.. on top of learning the recipes for the dozens of dishes I would make to keep us alive. I also had to plant veggies/flowers, harvest honey, find ingredients for everything, and take the different seasons into account because it would limit the resources we could find (ie only ice in the winter time).

Spent countless hours on that game and still remember the recipes like the back of my hand today LOL

Not sure I qualify.

I randomly collect bits of data that I happen on to or sometimes I actively seek out information on a topic just because it is entertaining.

Sometimes I will pick up a topic and go find whatever I need to know for a given reason, and then drop it and move on once I reach "good enough".

I still remember taking some sort of interests type assessment that was supposed to help with choosing a career in my 20's. It wasn't very helpful. Results were something like half of all the things...

I do like where people + things intersect with ideas [aesthetics, efficiencies, problem solving].

i have been told i have an uncanny ability to identify the make and model (and estimated model year) of any car on the road. unfortunately i'm not very mechanically inclined and can't even change the oil on my own car.

Last time I made a dime from it was helping my friend fix his GDM-FW900, it had bad caps and was out of focus. Took me a while, that unit felt hard to work with but I got it back to new and it's still used by my buddy regularly.

I wouldn't bother with DAII; it works like a hack'n'slash game which revolves around a tedious, uninteresting series of storylines. Map design is lazy and you will find yourself in the same cave numerous times as the developers just copy-pasted the same area. There are no forests, the deep roads sections are feeble compared to the first game, the city areas are confusing as all the buildings basically look the same, again that copy-paste feel to the map. The fine tuning for the characters is gone along with most of the D&D fantasy role-playing feel of the origional.

Inquisition is much better than II, although the combat style and levelling up tree is basically much more like II than the origional. The maps are enormous, although in some way TOO big as you have huge patches with nothing really going on there. The story is still meh and not as exciting as the origional with its LOTR feel and dramatic build up to the final showdown against the Darkspawn horde. One good thing though is how OP your characters can be in Inq, like being able to kill a dragon in a matter of seconds without taking any damage.
