Going to Sin City (Need ideas)

Alright boyos going to Vegas next week and need ideas on what to do. Staying at The Venetian for 5 nights like the baller I am. I budget $150/day in gambling money, $1200 for random shopping, $1600 for food, and $500 for different venue tickets.

When exactly are you going? UFC 276 is at the T-Mobile Arena on Saturday. I'd be all over that chit.

Well Friday I want to get there and get settled in. Sat and Sun I have time to do whatever. Mon I'm going to my sisters wedding. Then will have Tuesday to do whatever. And leaving on Wed. So I dont really count Fri, Mon, or Wed.

Also that hotel looks kinda poverty. Like eh I guess I wouldn't be mad if I had to stay there, but I wouldn't feel like a baller.

Venetian is probably my favorite place to stay. Sky is the limit my man. Hang out at pool, shop (don't expect and deals), drink, see the sights, and go downtown.

First time in Vegas?
You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

if youre playing slots, youre leaving with $0. might as well hand them the cash when you walk in the door instead of mindless spinning the loosing machine 1000x times.

That seems like a waste of money.

I knew a guy in the military who spent like 5,000 on alcohol.

I would think twice about spending money on anything that isn't going to create a great memory or that adds value to your life.

For instance, I'd rather spend 300 dollars on a hooker than on losing money gambling. That will NOT create a memory 20 years from now but the hooker would if she was worth the money.

I have been to many parts of the US and world. I do not remember the drinks I had but the sites I saw and things I've done. I recall broadway type shows I've seen from decades ago and stuff like that.

I used to love to go out and drink and probably spent a small fortune. That is very stupid so I wish I didn't do that.

LOL this guy has never been to Vegas.

5 days?? 3 max brah.

150/day gambling? LOL this guy is used to playing in his local small down casino or something. On a strip casino you won't find any table game under $25, on a busy weekend the majority will be $50. $150 won't even take you far if you manage to find some penny slot machine in the middle on nowhere...and that's for old ladies.

Enjoy your first Vegas trip in your parents hotel room lol.

Yeah I will spend this weekend learning how to play some basic stuff then.

Im not a big drinker or gambler either. And trust me I dont plan on doing that much of it realistically. But will be something to do in between shows or whatever.

5 nights in Vegas and only $150 a day to gamble? Dude that will last you about 1 hour a night max.
What are you going to do for the rest of the time there? Visit the shark reef? LOLOL

When we go to Vegas we budget considerably more, and food, shows and everything else is comped. And even then, I still cant take more than 2-3 nights MAX.
I guess if this is your first time you can blow some time cruising around from hotel to hotel to sight see.....but i would say you are under budgeting your gambling allowance.

Last time I was there (last Jan), minimums on the tables (craps and blackjack) were $15 during the slow time and $25 during prime time. If you're not a gambler, just keep that $150 in your pocket.

Couple great steakhouses: Downtown in The D - Andiamo's - great Italian steak house. Old school atmosphere. Caesers Palace - Old Homestead - traditional upscale steak house.

Other higher end places we've eaten - Giada's in Cromwell - good food, but the most expensive meal I've ever paid for. Hell's Kitchen (avoid it. Service sucked and food was mediocre). Emeril's place in Palazzo (forget the name), was fantastic food but also pricey.

Edit to add: Shows:

Absinthe (tent in front of Caesers) - it's been 5 years or more since we saw it, but it was fun.
Tournament of Kings (Excalibur) - Excalibur is a **** hole, but the show is really good.
Dualing Pianos - there are a couple of them around. I think New York New York has one and the other is in

Of course, there are also a lot of great concert type shows with huge performers.
You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

Yeah he's over budgeting Shopping / Food and massively under budgeting gambling.

The only way you can spend that much on food is if you go to a super fancy restaurant every night.....granted Vegas has a lot of them, and I recommend them, but you don't want to do a "special" dinner every night, do 1 special dinner and drop $250-300/person, then the other nights do more modest places or hit the buffets.

For shopping.....why would you shop in Vegas? They have a high sales tax, 9% I think, and nothing is discounted. If you are looking to buy high ticket luxury items do it OUTSIDE of Vegas.

I'm literally flying to Oregon in a couple of weeks (CA Brah) to pick up almost $30k worth of jewelry I've already "bought". You see....if you are a CA Brah and a baller like myself, and CA already taxes you to death just on your earned income, if you are going to make a large purchase, you make the "deposit" in CA, then you fly to Oregon (0% sales tax) get your "deposit" refunded, and then actually purchase your $30k in jewelry that was magically already ordered / sized / customized / and awaiting your arrival and save yourself a smooth $3k while at the same time telling CA to get REKT. Fly up there in the morning, fly back in the evening, same day. The world is small now, flights are cheap and plentiful....fly to a 0% sales tax state and buy your stuff. But I guess if your budget is only $1600 it's not quite worth it....still don't know why you'd buy it in Vegas though.

Up your game son. Get your money on point. You are slacking.

Actually donโ€™t be like me. I rarely win.

Sounds good I will plan to try some of those.

Ok listen here you rich fukks I dont have that kinda money ok. But I will change gambling money to $300/day. Food down to $800, and shopping to $1200. And I dont mean just random shopping for whatever overpriced consumerism crap. I just mean random stuff I might need. Maybe 1-2 random things I might want.
