Popularity is not exactly a sign of anything.

TikTok is the number 1 app...what conclusions are you going to derive from its popularity as to its utility/functionality?

they all do the same chit, but android just lets you do chit in an intuitive way, apple is just more convoluted

I was an androidcel for years. Tried all of the flagships, then went to the pure pixel life. Got bored and got an iPhone 12 Pro back when it dropped and haven’t looked back since.

Every app is optimized first for iOS, and then for android. It’s just too much work with so many versions of android to tune each app properly per flavor of android + UI/Skin that manufacturers drop over it. Every legit, popular and usueful app works better on iPhone.

Apple controls the entire stack, from hardware to software and it shows. Their ability to share media seamlessly with other iOS users and devices is top tier. No third world app like WhatsApp required.

iPhones also take the best videos by far. Not one android phone can even compre to the video prowess (recording and playback/scrubbing) of an iPhone. Even if video quality ever catches up, good luck finding an easy way to share them. No universal messaging app with encryption. No huge capacity share feature like airdrop. And uploading pics and vid’s to social media looks worse when done from an android.

I am in software and product manager. I will agree on the IOS app optimisation because it makes total sense due to the variations spread out (given the same development time invested).

Most people who pay for apps are in the West, where IPhone : Android market share is like 55/45 whereas globally Android is majority.

However, I have a good understanding of Cyber Sec principles and I reaaaally need you to show me some white paper technical evidence from a third party to show me why Android based phones, even if they are Chinese ones, are less secure.

There are both pros and cons for Zero Day Exploits for both closed-source (IOS) and (Android).

As for ecosystem integration - Android/Google offers seamless pretty much everything - media from one device to the other one the go, transfer. I can even use Google Messages (in built SMS app) via WiFi and Mobile if the other user is on Android.

Ya you may be able to do those things with android but you have to jump through extra hoops in order to do so.. I can drive cross country in a 90’s 2 door hatchback, but it’s going to be a hell of a better trip in my luxury suv.

The problem with android phones is that google and Samsung (for instance) compete with each other for software dominance on the same platform.

BRB do I use google assistant or bixby?
BRB do I use samsung cloud or google cloud?
BRB do I use (any number of Samsung apps) or do I use google?
BRB running google software, but have to run phone manufacturers skin over the top of it..
BRB do I use phone manufacturers messaging app or googles?

Apple finally put 120hz in their phones. When the next iphone gets a hole-punch camera, gets rid of the notch and puts the Face ID module under the display, it’s OVER for android. Mark my words

On the first point, you can buy a $10 aux adapter on Amazon and connect it to just about any car the market within seconds. You shoulnt even need to do this though, I get rental cars all the time for work and not once had a problem syncing my Samsung audio/media with the car. Not once in 4 years.

also competition drives Innovation. The fact you have the options to choose different products within the android ecosystem is obviously a good thing. When businesses compete, the consumer wins.This is what a free market ecosystem looks like. Imagine arguing that's a good thing to be cucked down into 1 company lol.

Apple diks you down into their little ecosystem and can charge $100 for a charger if they chose and you have to pay. It's a conflict of interest if anything and definitely not in favor of the consumer like it is with android.

It would be like if your medical insurance conveniently had a staff of doctors on their payroll and forced you to use those doctors. Surely you can see why that would be problematic

You missed the point I was trying to make. I’m saying things like iMessage, airdrop and icloud allow you to do things that android phones force you to jump through hoops to do.In theory you’re correct about general competition in specific markets, but when two software companies are competing on a single device for features that are meant to be convenient and seamless, it makes the whole experience messy. If you save chit on Samsung cloud by end up buying a different brand of android phone afterwards, You’re forced to take extra steps you shouldn’t need to take in order to transfer your chit to your next phone. Also, I don’t need or want two completely different “assistant” apps on the same phone. It’s pointless. Nor do I want two or more different messaging apps when I can literally use iMessage for EVERYTHING. Try sending a picture or video through text message on android without the file being compressed to the point it’s basically unviewable.I will always pay extra for seamless, fluid experiences that work perfectly and without flaw. As a long time android user I know what it feels like to have my hands tied because apps and accessories aren’t optimized for my phones specific hardware and software.If the doctors were part of a tailor made, seamless ecosystem of optimized healthcare then I would be all for it.. Sounds like a dream honestly.


Android phones are gimmicky and often times will introduce experimental tech and software in their phones, forcing their customers to be Guinea pigs for things that end up getting scrapped/canceled with zero support afterwards. If you like bleeding edge tech and don’t mind wasting your money by being an android crash dummie, then by all means go android. If you want a seamless optimized experience then get an iPhone.

The edges should have been scrapped a long time ago, although Samsungs displays are still top notch.

Android fan boys require maximum value out of their phone, while iPhone is for those who require a phone that works every time.

End of day both offer flag ship devices and does the same thing just different user experience lol but if you really can't use an iPhone after a week then you're probably too old to change devices and stick to what you know

Iphone was never good, maybe in 2008 lol. Android is freedom but for low IQ tards Iphone is great though.

Have Galaxy Note twice. After 2 years they become super slow for some reason. iPhone goin 4 years now, still as fast as first day. And Im using similar apps!
