Will it affect test/sex drive can I trust a dr to mess around with my prize possessions like that?

Getting a vasectomy was the worst decision of my life. I lost my wife and my man hood. I did it a little over 16 years ago at age 27 and I noticed a big difference in the way ejaculation felt and my overall energy immediately afterwards. I lost all my testosterone and it feels weird and dulled in a uncomfortable way when I ejaculate. I can't explain the feeling. You would have to feel it yourself. The only time I feel normal is when I'm taking testosterone. Which I had to start doing at age 29 because my levels were so low. The wrong feeling I get with ejaculation has never went away and I'm now 43 years old. This happens to other men too. Look it up before you talk trash. Please, please look it up before getting one!

I've heard about this before and it's the only reason I haven't got one. I read about a guy that had aching balls for years after till he had it reversed at the cost of several thousand.

There's also supposedly a correlation between vasectomies and a higher occurrence of Alzheimers or dementia. I don't believe any causal link has been established though, but there are some theories.

Yeah, something about fukin with your plumbing like that is just....eh. Plus I'm not convinced that your sperm staying inside and going somewhere nature didn't intend for it to (though I admit I don't know much about where it actually ends up in a guy with a vasectomy) is healthy and not without possible consequences for some.

I never heard that one, but I have not researched it very much.

It could be that the type of person to get a vasectomy has very bad health habits and that leads to dementia.

I did a lot of research on dementia when my friend got the Robin Williams Lewy Body type. I wondered if there was a connection between psych meds and/or drinking and there is.

He did both and seemed healthy as a horse but was doing two things that can hurt your brain. So, a person that concerned about having sex all of the time might be indulging in many things that are not good for the brain.

Who knows though.

After talking to some guys who have gotten it, everything should be working as it should before the vasectomy.

Now the only difference is you can't get anyone pregnant.

The biggest side effect is that any kids you have after the vasectomy will be a different color. My friend got one and his wife has had 3 black kids since. Not sure why they don’t tell you that when you’re there.

Biology aside, I wonder if a well-organized external environment would limit effects of this disease. No reason to live among too much disorder anyway, just that a lot of the US is uncultured
