Forums make money by the little ads on the side and top, and bottom, all over really. Click on one and it pays them even more. Server is already up and running. Cost little to run but is making money. You'd have to be a tard to shut it down. You know bb.com isn't making much off sales of actual supplements. Amazon has burried bodybuilding.com. Whenever I buy I give them a shot but they are no where competitive. Maybe the new owner will change that, I don't know.

Agree. Same reason I refused to use ventrilo with people in WoW etc…. Told people I was listening to vent and had no mic and just listened to music.

Been using old forums since my old EverQuest server forums, lanys server forums were fukking huge. It’s a more relaxed way of interacting with people.

What you're describing is like a forum, but the reality is 90% + of everything is on the main chat board.
Really the concept is nothing new. They had chat on multinode BBS's in the 1980's.
The difference is that there was also a message boards on the BBS's.

I've got nothing against discord, it's better than reddit or fakebook groups but for a forum experience it's not it.

It can be a forum experience (well closer than your view on it now). Ded srs. It's just nobody gives it a go. There's an actual thread feature on discord, the only thing lacking is users. I think the key difference in style is the amount of people that you think will see your posts on here compared to disc. There's no reason you can't type long thought out responses on discord (in other channels besides main)

Saying ******* uncensored should be worth it alone. Ease of gifs. Phone app.
