nyc. ive seen so many rainbow flags. My job did like an 8 ft rainbow calendar and rainbow stripes on the revolving door of the building but not a single american flag.


i find it extremely concerning that patriotism is down and Americans hating America is up. my co worker was saying "fk america, where my reparations at?" shes like 22 and might be an immigrant or first generation (has an accent). This was a little over a month ago.

My step mom was trying to out flag the neighbors.

Like flags every ten feet along shoreline, normal flag pole one, etc

You should move.

Someone put a flag in everyone's lawn in our entire neighborhood a week ago. We've got a flagpole probably every third or fourth house. Tons of military and retired military though.

im considering it man.

as a youth i never would have imagined being proud (for lack of a better word) to be American and grateful to be from here instead of some 3rd world country..but i am. It's weird to be that how others arent. Esp. ones that migrated here and i hear them say "i never want to be or identify as American. But enjoy all the gov programs and freedoms.

I believe you but it's hard for me to even imagine. There were flags EVERYWHERE here - even Boy Scouts selling them to hold during the paradeChurches and schools here do fundraisers where they drill a hole and a PVC pipe into your front lawn and put up a flag every major Holiday. I love it.

Honestly I'm not convinced that's a reason to move, but it would be a factor in a decision for sure.

well the move would be linked to the american hate. I work with younger ppl and their views are just so weird to me. I brought up statistical facts about men and women and they seemed uncomfortable. I thought this young liberal chit was only an online thing. Not liking stats on men vs women (men commit more violent crimes something so obvious and simple)...they felt uncomfortable admitting it, smaller FED and states should have more power. 30+ ppl still going out EVERY weekend being normal. Working with black ppl who find a way to bring racism into a random conversation thats just about jokes.

It's like, they cant tell the difference from what they want ideally and the truth.

TLDR

its not that i want ppl to agree with me, its just...in NYC im not seeing a balance of views

I took the train to work. saw nothing. at work...nothing. took train home and nothing. There were a ton of fireworks and ppl out drinking and grilling but no american flags. Maybe in other parts of the city like
