Done my ACL two times, same knee. Definitely sets you back but you can recover. Two years after my second surgery, i'd say my knee is 95% good to go. But i'll never play Football, rugby, soccer etc again.

I play soccer a couple of nights a week. I was coming to a stop from a sprint and knee buckled. No impact, no twisting nothing.

Super unfortunate and unbelievable how it happened just like that with no symptoms or injuries to that leg before.

Why never play?

Id be happy with 95% but I’ll probably lose my speed. Peers say i am too quick. I dont know if i can play if i am not going all out.

My other knee is at %70, different type of surgery that never fully recovered but i still played.

Blasting will help your recovery but it’s in your best interests to find hobbies that don’t involve extreme knee torsion. Sorry bud. You’re playing with your ability to walk if you continue once you recover.
Lifts:
Squat: 460x1
Bench: 400x1
Deadlift: 575x1
OHP: 250x2
Weight: 180 lbs.

Don't have heroes; look up to no one. Because as long as someone's leading the way, the best you'll ever be is second.

Too risky for me, did both playing sports, not worth going through all that time off, recovery etc again.

Plenty of professional athletes have recovered and played again.

Imagine being in top shape and your knee going off doing something so routine. Its the worst man.

I feel you. I went through 12 months rehab for my right knee and it never fully recovered. Thinking of the struggle i went through only to play a year and a half and have my other knee go out is very depressing.

Not to mention the burden you put those around you..

I may never return to contact sports i guess, i am hoping i recover stronger this time

Second time the recovery was a lot easier and quicker for me, only took about 9 months instead of 12, but I was back to running after like 3 months.

Damn. That's unfortunate brah. Soccer is a goat activity to stay active.

You can definitely be active. Just believe in yourself and take it easy when you play.

Lots of ACLcels out there that bounced back.

You'll be okay. I know brahs that tore both acls and come back and play high level soccer.

Make sure to take the rehab seriously. Then I'd do a lot of the exercises kneesovertoes guy recommends along with nordic hamstring curls. Your knees will thank you.

How I've never torn or broke anything (besides a small roll up of my quad) after what I've done is a legit miracle. Sometimes it is just luck of the draw and completely out of nowhere.

You're gonna make it boyo. I've seen so many acl injuries and recoveries back to high level of sports and fitness.

Only thing I would say is I went with quad tendon over hamstring because of the knee pain issue later in life. If I could go back in time I would 100% find some Gh to hop on right after surgery to prevent a lot of the quad decay/struggle rebuilding.
