Still not in the army - I visited the enlistment office, but was not conscripted.

For me personally it is sort of emotional roller coaster depending on the stream of news I am reading. But in general, I'd say our chances are pretty good, given that we'll keep getting military and economical support from the west.

No, their priority is someone who has war experience or at least has military training / specialization. I do not tick any of those boxes, so I am not a priority for now.

You have to understand that they cannot conscript every male in the country because it takes money to train, equip, feed and pay salary to every soldier. Also, someone has to do the regular work to support the economy (agriculture, railroads, etc).

I don't think they are quite aware of what's going on. I didn't specifically ask but I got impression from the Ukrainian girls that they are not honest to what they are up to in other (at least my) country. I don't think they are telling those left in Ukraine about all the partying and other stuff. It's probably for the better but even I feel heartbroken to some extent seeing that they can't even remain loyal for few months while their boyfriends (and maybe husbands in some cases too) are fighting in war. Pisses me off a lot when I think about it to be honest.

How is it delusional and how are they losing badly?

Many, including Putin, thought Ukraine will fall within days. 4+ months later they are still going strong. Yes, Russia is slowly advancing, but that's because of two reasons:

1) Ukraine doing tactical withdrawals to ensure Russians have much heavier losses
2) West should have given more Military support


I know russian a little bit so I was watching some Russian podcasts and online streams too when war began. On first day they said Ukraine will fall in 3 days max. Then they started saying 2-3 weeks. After that it became 2-3 months. Don't watch anymore but I guess I should check what's their timeline now.

Ukraine is slowly draining Russia resources whereas theirs are essentially infinite unless West betrays them.

It should be ok, it is quite calm compared to the last summer (5-7 rockets on residential buildings every night). Nowadays, rocket attacks are not as intense, more or less like in other regions of the country.
