What pre-2005 movie has a payphone ringing and someone gets pinned down by a gunman?
Asking for a friend that says she remembers the movie, but I can't find it.
Clues:
- It'snotPhone Booth (2002). They watched this and told me it's the wrong movie.
- It didn't have a lot of swearing like Phone Booth does, at least not MF this MF that.
- It was new in cinemas around 2002. Might be as far back as 1998 or as late as 2005.
- A public payphone rings and a guy answers it, he gets pinned down by a gunman and can't leave the payphone.
- Getting pinned down at the payphone might not be the whole movie but it takes up a lot of it.
- The guy answering the phone might look like Harrison Ford.
I looked up movies like Phone Booth and after checking the trailers, it's not any of them:
Cellular (2004)
Liberty Stands Still (2002)
Panic Room (2002)
Those three are all women and none are stuck at a payphone.

Sounds familiar. Is the guy who plays Jack Bauer in it?

Sounds very similar. I'll think about it. At first I thought it was Enemy of the State but that's not it. Something kind of like that.

Wait OP is it John Q? John Q has a scene where they have him on a phone for a while with a sniper shot. Eventually he falls through the ceiling.
It has to be that.
It has to be that.
