Some people can completely detach from the physical act. It doesn't have to be emotional at all, really because it's a physical act. But if you can't, then it definitely isn't the right lifestyle for you.

For example, in your sociopath example there's actually less game playing and it isn't about getting more partners than the other person. In your psychopath example their satisfaction and pleasure comes from other things than just getting laid. Your examples are actually prime situations where people should NOT be entering that world.

There's a class of fake white people hippies there.

They are typically odd or frail in some way and pretend they are open minded but if you said that you don't care if your potatoes are organic, they would get really silently angry at you and never talk to you again.

They guy in the pick, if not secretly gay, is probably stewing with anger he doesn't know how to express.

I recently saw that documentary Netflix series on Polygamy. It was about how these Mormons had 23 wives. They abused their power to do so and the women hated it.

Yet open relationships where you have multiple partners is trending. It seems like these people like having multiple partners?

Yet the women in the documentary were complaing that they had to kiss a guy who kissed a bunch of other people.

To me I question what's the differences?

Where do we draw the line?
