Well the gulf stream is crossing thousands of miles of open ocean before hitting England so I'd imagine it picks up some moisture.

Thinking more the running costs. Some offices have them here & big supermarket chains, hospitals. But they never really caught on with the public, like letterboxes & kettles never caught on in the US.

London always gets the best weather in the UK. It said it will top 40 there, just 35 where I live. Not a problem for a few days. I have no idea how ppl cope in places like *****, where it's 40 to 45 every single day this month. Not good for energy, uncomfortable and constantly sweating your nuts off. More ideal for me would be a country like Portugal or Spain.

Portugal and Spain are almost identical latitudes, yet get less rain.

It was 107 here in Houston on Sunday. In the attic where I was working on the AC it was probably more like 130.

Lol, so many Americans wonder where our cops guns are as well. You aren't going to get air conditioning here very often.

So what you're saying is don't vacation in the UK, during the summer?

That's the real issue. Anyone saying "but that's normal", you have to understand that if it's half the temperatures we're experiencing now it's considered a pretty warm day. Our houses and offices etc are typically built to retain heat as well, compounding the issue.

A/C makes such a huge difference - in my office it feels great, as soon as I step outside it's like the heat clings to my skin.

I seem to clearly remember the exact same title being posted a year or two ago. It's summertime. It gets hot. They have to spiff up the title to get attention. 99% of any news these days is just updated regurgitated from the past.

I predict that the forecasts will actually be incorrect.

On both days, it will actually turn out to be highs of 84°F. You may get some desperate "pandemic propagandists" who try to find some bizarre ways to artificially turn up the heat, but it'll likely be highs of lower than 84°F srs

In any case I've advised my friends across the Atlantic to evacuate to Siberia where possible. Highs of 57°F over in Udachnyi on Monday. Similarly, predicted highs of 56°F in Novorybnaya.
