In Hawaii and people ride in the back of pick up trucks

...something you never see on the mainland and something I thought went out with the 80's. Some even put plastic chairs back there and just let their hair whip in the breeze.

Almost no cops are around, either. Oahu, North Shore.

I grew up in the delta of Mississippi. Most work is deep in fields or parties are way off road. It’s common. Just have to be careful if they hit a bump and you have your legs handing off. Saw a guy break both legs and tear both acl.

its still legal in hawaii as long as the inside of the vehicle is full.

i think i seen it in alabama or georgia or some place. rode once in the back of one there where it was legal. kind of cool but you realize if you are in a smaller fender bender at speed you would go flying.

Another thing about Hawaii - people love to back into parking spaces. More than anywhere I've ever seen. Just an observation. Really don't care.

I got in a bad car accident in Hawaii where a local rear ended us and we all ended up badly injured. It's crazy they would do that without seat belts. The only good part was that I was able to go to their airport in a wheelchair and get first class.
