I'm a flat earther who thinks people saying they're 'fake' are dumb. Thoughts?

It's obvious that none of the photos are 'real'. They're extrapolating. That being said, there's plenty of proof that the world isn't a globe. If you've seen my threads no one is able to beat me in this debate.

I never said they were fake. I said they look fake and ghey. They could at least show us the unprocessed photos first or alongside the stupid graphic designer ones.


The people defending these dumb looking nasa photos are the same people that rip on insta thots with tons of makeup and ultra filtered photos.

Also, these pics still don’t look any better than Hubble. Huge waste of money and it’s the reason the private sector has completely taken over the space race.

The explanation that I heard was that our eyes can't actually see this stuff so it's captured in infra-red and then it's "modified" into a computer-generated image which uses a RBG colour scheme that allows our eyes/brain to see it and thats why it looks unreal (because technically it is). If we were there we would still see nothing.

Pls don't call me a Nasa-shill I'm just parroting someone who I was told is smarter than me

I have seen the "real" images which are based on radio signals coming from where the telescope is pointed.

I believe it's the case that each signal is supposed to be an element or chemical compound.

So, signal 456.2 is copper and so copper is reddish, so galaxy XYZ must glow red due to all the copper.

So, they photoshop Galaxy XYZ to look like a reddish cloud.

Is that how it really looks?

When I look at Beetlejuice I can see it's red with just my eyes. But, are galaxies blue, red, etc and so colorful or are just the stars shining?

The NASA images always look too beautiful and I don't believe the data the telescopes get are what we could see with our eyes.

Due to being in a capitalist society, NASA has to lie a lot to generate interest and create awe through lying and so I don't know what to believe.

No, but I understand the science behind it when I actually research it, something miscers are obviously unable or unwilling to do. No one at NASA has ever said that these are images in the visible spectrum, they are computer generated composites of different wavelengths on the EM spectrum. Images in only visible light would be very underwhelming. Two seconds of research is all it takes to find that out. Do you call your doctor a liar when he gives you xray results as well because that’s not how your body looks in visible light?

facts are facts tho, those images are edited but not because they are photoshopping something from scratch, but because its not a traditional photograph..

basically captured in a way our human eyes can't see, then converted to what we can see and they add color to it. If i can make a comparison it would be like the incomplete dinosaur bones, they put it together also perceive the rest into what they believe the dino would look like. As the tech gets better, perception/data/etc can and will change from what they believe today.

What I would like to know is; how are they so sure that there’s not elements in the universe that we don’t yet know about? How do they look at different colors on a spectrum and decide “This has to be copper” or “that’s definitely helium”? I’m not even sure they fully understand how much time is or isn’t bent from Millions of light years away. I mean most of the chit nasa says is literally theory.

I mean think of just how fu**ing far ONE light year away is.. It’s a distance that most of us can’t even fathom. They expect me to believe they KNOW the chemical makeup of “objects” that are millions of light years away? Especially when the light we are actually seeing is thousands or millions of years old?

I THINK it works like a "gas spectrometer" only with radio waves being consistent in frequency depending on the chemicals involved. As you have said, what if Element X is the main element of Galaxy F, then they would not know what they were reading or it would read as nothing.

To my knowledge, Earth is mostly made of iron. Iron is red in color, as we see in some deserts, but when viewed from space, Earth is not red. However, if you used a telescope from light years away, would Earth as being made of iron and then illustrated as a red planet?

I have a feeling NASA is doing that and selling us "real pictures" of things that we wouldn't really see.

Meanwhile, I wonder what we can see with an actual photo level telescope. It would be interesting to see what the furthest object we can see actually looks like.

yeah but most of the stuff you're talking about is derived from already established 'theories' (as you call them), which are based in what is pretty much known to be fact i.e. the laws of physics.

So science is look for what i can confirm, and not for what it cannot confirm.

this is totally NOT how it works smfh. the data is there. our eyes just can’t detect it, but the computer can render what we would see if our eyes could detect it. your dino analogy is no way accurate. its more like adding night vision goggles to a person who is in the dark. it shows you whats there, you just have to realize that warm body you see with the goggles isnt actually beaming red.

I’m sure the astrophysicists at Cal Tech are devastated by this news that OP doesn’t like their photos

What’s funny is OP looks at things surface level, doesn’t see anything and moves on. Did you ever think OP there’s more than what you see on the surface? That they might use the photos to verify what their analysis and other instruments tell them?

Most 5 year olds learn this lesson but OP wakes up today and thinks he knows more than lifelong scientists with multi-billion dollar budgets. Lmfao
