I’ve travelled around the US on business numerous times and it was kinda disappointing. My favourite places were the amazing national parks in Arizona and some of the beaches down in Florida I got to visit.
The cities had no real character to them….just square blocks of sky scrapers with everyone driving cars instead of walking around.
Europe just has a cleaner more sophisticated feel to it.

NYC and LA are one in the same. Major coastal cities that are cultural centers deemed too big to fail. NYC actually has character, history and culture. 800 languages spoken a day and 12 million people...I think you'll find some food and an interesting conversation. You will also smell trash, see many urban youths doing similar things that they do in chicago and a bunch of fat watered down wanna be Italians. LA is an overhyped, wayyy too expensive traffic clogged city full of narcissist and pill pooping 22 year olds. Avoid like the plauge.
If you want to see the real America heres what you do. You find a suburb close to a major city. Long Island, outskirts of Philly/Boston, the northern part of NJ. Drive into a neighborhood with propery taxes as high as your annual income at 6am and sit and sip gas station coffee. Watch as the obese fathers wake from their drug induced slumber to an anxiety riddled morning commute where their overlords milk them for another 60 hour week crunching numbers and developing long term health issues associated with office life. Then their cheating trophy wives will wake up with the help of a memossa and zanax.
