Holy **** what a dump. My notes:

- Most ghetto mcdonalds i've ever been to in my life, druggies pitbulls, food taste weird af
- Everyone obsessed with guns
- All the infrastructure looks knakered, rusty old and honestly the outskirts of Chicago reminded me of mad Max.
- Chicago centre looks cool, but stinks of sewage and weed.
- Food is chit, really shocked at how low quality the food was, food in the UK is much better.
- Trucks were huge, cars in general were big.
- Chicago centre had a lot more fit people and normal people around.
- Policeman i randomly spoke too told me to turn back because the area i was walking into was very dangerous.
- Black people very different to the UK. Black people in the UK relatively normal, in the US, seems angry aggresive and super loud.
- I thought America was meant to be cheap, but not really.

All in all, not imrpessed ameribrahs. Glad to be back in the UK.

Plannning a trip to the South next.
Can confirm.

McDonalds in Europe tastes much better.

But, I mean... when you pay 5 dollars (4.5 euros) for a Big Mac... it gotta be good.

Last week I payed 15 dollars for a Big Mac, a box of Nuggets and a medium Coca-Cola Zero (mediums in Europe = small in the US). Lol

It's pretty obvious that the US is a declining hellhole these days

I'm sure some areas are still nice

Anyone who denies this is simply coping

The US was GOAT for several decades and gave a lot to the world but the collapse has been rapid

Depends what you want. If you enjoy nature you can visit the American west and Rockies where we designate and preserve landscapes for public use. Take note of our management plans while there, maybe you can save the last of Europes game and public land. Go to a big city like Denver or Salt lake for the mix of city activities with a nature. Or go to medium/smaller cities in less populated states like Montana, Idaho and Whyoming for secluded nature experiences. Alaska is its own beast, a life time of exploration would touch the surface.

If you want a cultural experience unique to American that doesn't involve an astronaut shooting you, go to the nice parts of southern coastal cities. Charleston, Savahanna, St. Petersburg, Miami, ect. You'll see lifted trucks and classic redneck activities, but also history and a warm climate. Again, take note of how humans survive when the sun comes out and its more than 90 degrees and bring this vital information back to the UK and save lives, srs.

Kind of agree with OP.

I’ve travelled around the US on business numerous times and it was kinda disappointing. My favourite places were the amazing national parks in Arizona and some of the beaches down in Florida I got to visit.

The cities had no real character to them….just square blocks of sky scrapers with everyone driving cars instead of walking around.

Europe just has a cleaner more sophisticated feel to it.

Cities in the US are trash. The only good spots are at the epicenter of where wealth is.

The best parts of the US are outside of the cities. Basically where libs haven't had their sticky grubby little fingers and chit attitudes.

Hollywood is nothing more than **** propaganda and lies. Do not under any circumstances let Hoolywood be your lens into the US. Thats like me asking what cities I should visit in the Uk based off of your tabloids reccomendations.

NYC and LA are one in the same. Major coastal cities that are cultural centers deemed too big to fail. NYC actually has character, history and culture. 800 languages spoken a day and 12 million people...I think you'll find some food and an interesting conversation. You will also smell trash, see many urban youths doing similar things that they do in chicago and a bunch of fat watered down wanna be Italians. LA is an overhyped, wayyy too expensive traffic clogged city full of narcissist and pill pooping 22 year olds. Avoid like the plauge.

If you want to see the real America heres what you do. You find a suburb close to a major city. Long Island, outskirts of Philly/Boston, the northern part of NJ. Drive into a neighborhood with propery taxes as high as your annual income at 6am and sit and sip gas station coffee. Watch as the obese fathers wake from their drug induced slumber to an anxiety riddled morning commute where their overlords milk them for another 60 hour week crunching numbers and developing long term health issues associated with office life. Then their cheating trophy wives will wake up with the help of a memossa and zanax. Once they have our best pharmaceuticals coursing through their plastic surgery altered bodies they can muster up the mental fortutude to face their fuk up son or daughter who will spend the day fixated on their phones decaying their brain consuming state sponsored propaganda while selling their data to China. The father will come home and the family will lie to each other for an hour while they eat take out.

Thats the true American experience. Or you could go to the zoo or something gay.
