Haven't you been there?

The public areas on top are open to the public. except for a guided tour inside the damn itself, nobody is allowed into areas like that, much less high power substations (no substation in the US is open to the public, or easy to get into with 12 foot fences and whatnot)

The dam is obviously full of countless transformers and whatever else is required for making power. They will fail at some point, nothing is fool proof.

In WW2 the germans sent what they thought was a german agent to england to blow up an airplane factory. He tipped off the british so as not to blow his cover, they actually blew up a part of the factory like out back where no one would get hurt. There was lots of smoke and fire just like the guy had indeed blown up the factory or at least some of it.

The germans got word that their supposed spy had done his job and they sent him on other missions without ever realizing he was a double agent.

When I see stuff like this dam thing going on I always think of that. With all the whining about climate this and that and how empty lake mead is, it would make sense for them to pull the same ruse on us. Then blame it on low water or whatever crap people will believe.
