Who cares?
If you're in your 20s/30s and don't see downturns as a buy opportunity, you're doing it wrong.

Lol at anyone who is hyper obsessed with the ups and downs of this, when the overwhelming majority of you are not gonna retire until you're 70+
Feels good knowing I got a 6 figure pension along with $3-4 million in my TSP when I end up retiring in my early 50's

Up 8.95%; 80% in a unique real estate fund (not a reit) and 20% stable value; all year.

I do wonder what y'all are even doing when it comes to retirement... Do some of y'all want to make a certain amount in your 401k then do odd jobs to supplement that income later? Or you just plan to leave your jobs after you make x amount and live below your means?

"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

Not happy about it, but not stressing
Retired and multiple pensions/Social Security for income.
7-figure investment balance
2 years of cash to absorb market volatility.

A democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. And that's why the USA is a constitutional republic and not a democracy.

I pulled out a few months ago fortunately, knew this would happen in Biden's economy. Not invested in anything, just letting it sit there for now.

Oh wait they had gains too - Too bad it wasn't their own, it was their landlord's.

Nobody is dumb enough to invest in only one asset class and then complain when that particular asset class fails

Saw people in 2008 lose 1/2 million because that was their set retirement date. 3 & 1/2 years later it was back up to pre crash levels but they already pulled out.
3.5 years is my benchmark now, if stocks get super high anytime in that window before I retire I'll divest into bonds or some boring chit.
Don't put that on me Ricky Bobby, don't you ever put that on me.
