Pro-gay, pro-masks, pro-lockdowns, anti-christian, pro-jewish etc. He's everything Hollywood has always promoted. I guess it's annoying because people view him as some sort of voice of reason because he points out the most egregious flaws in all of the things he supports, but only once it's safe to do so.

During the lockdowns he was complaining about his neighbors having people over and not wearing masks. I haven't watched his last special, but has he walked that back? It wouldn't surprise me since it's safer to criticize what happened now, but at the height of the panic he was one of the villagers carrying a flaming torch, just like nearly everyone else.

I don't normally let politics get in the way of enjoying comedy, but after his opener I figured he was too much a ****git to listen to. Plays it safe on some issues, is "edgy" on others. Something bout him feels off now.

The right opinions probably help if you want to make a series with Disney or be cast in movies with the SNL types but I don't get that kind of dis-ingeniousness from him or his comedy. Stephen Colbert is a better example of that, you take the $15M cheque you get up there and say the things you are told.

I think his opinions are honestly his, I don't agree with all of them but I am a fan of his comedy. I just cant listen to another hour of anything about Trump, Masks, Vaccines, Democrats/Republicans or anything like that from anyone.

There isn't a premise that isn't burned out or fuked to death, lets all move on and talk about something new.

Glad I saw him live in his prime, listened to his podcast for years. Then one of his specials came out like 8 years ago, the one in black and white, and I don’t think I really laughed once after being hyped for it. That combined with his wife being on the podcast and him becoming “californiafied” just sort of led to him completely falling off my radar.

Been listening to the mmpc since 09 and still do, he’s undoubtably gone woke. He’s never criticizes Hollywood anymore, during the last 2 years all he did was criticize Trump his fans, white woman and unmasked people.

other comedian in a podcast brought up that Bill would get in huge arguments with other comedians over mask, he even said he would stop random people in the middle of the street and ask them where is your mask. Don’t get me started on his wife, she’s unhinged.

Had a few high spots but dragged on a lot for much of it. It's sad but this is about the best you can expect from comedy now. The glory days of the 90s and 00s are long over.

The thing is that Bill Burr is an "act" and you expect him to have a certain attitude all the time.

If Bill came out and started crying and talking about kids with cancer he visited in some hospital, it would be massively sad and at some point, you would expect him to make a sarcastic comment. However, if he just kept crying and was being genuine, it would really sad to see Bill upset.

His act is complaining about things that are stupid and make no sense.

The deal is that woke stuff is always illogical and stupid so him defending it is against his act.

However, he likely has some Weinstein with a gun to his head making him insert woke talking points into his act. Someone is because he's smart enough to protect his brand.

I’ve seen Bill Burr perform 7 times in person since 2014. The last one was in Bethel, NY about a month or two ago. He performed mostly the same act as he did this most recent special and it was way better that time and not just because I was there. For some reason, Burr really slows down his act/delivery for his specials and doesn’t do nearly as much improv work. It’s like he wants to make sure he gets all the jokes right and on time as opposed to just letting loose like he did every time he’s not filming a special. I swear to god this is exactly what he always does. Idk how a guy like him who is so uniquely self-aware doesn’t realize how much funnier he is when the camera isn’t on him.

Just listen to this performance and see how different he performs. He’s doing rapid fire jokes on top of jokes on top of jokes to the point the crowd can’t even catch their breath. It’s insanely good.

Start at 1:19:14-1:33:23 if you wanna get to the best part. I nearly shat myself laughing.
