Currently riding in a Tesla for the first time (Uber)

Got picked up from the airport and was instantly excited when Uber said it would be a Tesla.

Gotta say.. Interior fit and finish is not at all what I expected. The materials seem very cheap to be honest. The car is fast but definitely doesn’t feel luxury at all. Which is odd, because everyone that’s owns Teslas tries to use them as status symbols.

The fake leather sucks and the road noise is also surprisingly bad.

All in all it feels like a cheap car with a giant screen and some good tech.

Mercedes, Audi, BMW, and especially Lucid EVs are the luxury ones.
Teslas are like the Early Hyundias/Kias of EVs with the exception of much faster acceleration.

Road noise is because there' no car noise to drown it out.

I bet that's the base model Tesla. Obviously the interior gets much nicer on the higher end ones.

Lol, yeah I'm BMW crew too, but the new models look like absolute cheap garbage. No way I'd spend $60k on something that looks like that.

On the Model S and X? You get an instrument cluster, I don't think there's a huge jump in other aspects

I think of Teslas like American EV muscle cars right down to the straight line acceleration, they're not luxury in any way aside from price.

There are luxury EVs that still do an amazing job of isolating you from the outside, and they use active noise cancellation to drown out stuff that would normally be masked by an engine

Albert Biermann? For the handling anyways

I have a 2021 GV80 and am not an aficionado in performance cars or handling, but it’s a fantastic vehicle

Correct.

Tesla is not a luxury vehicle, I'm waiting on my cybertruck order though. So far all the models feel cheap; personally I drive Volvos inscription line.

Someone who’s never been in one. I’ve been curious for years what they sounded like and how the interiors looked. I was also curious how that one piece glass roof looked like from the inside.

Looked into the BMW i4, but that, the Porsche Taycan etc etc. all will have you waiting 1 year + before you get your car currently, which is insanity.
