Any brahs here from Tampa?? What should I do while there?

Going to Tampa for a week in August with the wife and 2yr old. Wife is having elected surgery at the end and staying with a friend for another couple of weeks. But what is some must do's there and the best seafood restaurants? I'm for sure going to the casino atleast 2 whole days, will play NL1/2 cash and then sign up for a 1k tourny maybe.

What else boyos?

A lot of nice beaches nearby. Clearwater is cool but usually packed. Some quieter ones south of it. Belleair Beach is super quiet if you go by where the houses are. Casino is nice but area around it is ghetto. La Teresita by the airport has pretty good Cuban coffee and sandwiches. There's a chair massage place at the mall next to the airport too that is cheap and the lady there is really good if that's your thing.

Been a few years, but recall strip clubs being all full contact grinding. Lots of little whores working those joints. Don't let the wife and her friend catch you tho.

Minor league baseball games, flea markets, mediocre beaches, eating calzones were go to's on my free time.

If I get +500 at the casino I’m instantly calling an Uber to the strip club and telling the wife I’m still at the casino. Will also check the aquarium out, anybody pay to go fishing around Tampa? Would seriously love to go fishing, but don’t want to drop an absurd amount to do it.

Don't carry more than $200 when you enter the place. That's plenty to get you laid.

Def check out a WTR pool party if you can. Whole bunch of sloots out there.
Do not think that what is hard for you to master is humanly impossible; and if it is humanly possible, consider it to be within your reach.

Sparkman Wharf and Armature Works are cool spots. TBH I like Sparkman Wharf especially due to Splitsville, a bowling alley and bar combo. Aside from those, there's cool places near downtown Tampa / Harbour Island that are worth checking out, especially if you like ritzy dining/drinks overlooking the channel.

If your goal is sloots, which it sounds like it's not, Soho is your best bet during bar crawl hours (Fri/Sat 8PM-3AM).

Ybor is sketchy tbh, but if you're into some dive bars, they've got it. It's also like the only place in Tampa that has EDM clubs, and they attract A LOT of people to those shows, srs.

Consider the amusement parks Busch Gardens and Adventure Island in Tampa. The former being more like a zoo + rollercoasters + arcade games + theatric shows experience. The latter being a waterpark, lazy river, wave pool, massive water slides and some tubing going on.

EDIT:

~30 minutes west from Tampa is Clearwater. On the edge just before you get on the bridge that leads to Clearwater is a spot that used to be called Hogan's Beach, but is now WTR, and it's a very popular spot on the weekends full of 20's / 30's people.

The only reason to go to Clearwater really is Clearwater beach, srs, and it's a GREAT beach, I love getting hotels on the beach there every so often, SRS.

The bridge Courtney Campbell, which connects from Tampa to Clearwater has some mini-beaches, people fishing, some cool runways if you wanna bike/skateboard.

St. Pete might be more your style too, just south of Clearwater, there's another bridge you can take to get there from Tampa to save time, maybe 40 minutes to get there. It has lots of bars/restaurants, can watch the Rays games there at the Tropicana stadium. The beach there isn't as good as the Clearwater beach though.

My last thoughts are, if you go just a hair North of Tampa to Wesley Chapel you can get a pretty nice place called "The Main Event", it's basically a "better" Dave & Busters with more adults. If you go a hair South of Tampa to Brandon, you can find Top Golf, which is honestly a lot of fun, look it up SRS.

If you don't mind driving an hour and spending a lot of money, going East to Orlando can be a great time. Lots of resorts there and stuff, but obviously there's Disney World and Universal Studios. Would recommend the former if you want the Star Wars experience. The latter if you want Harry Potter and more adult-friendly stuff.

Like previous poster mentioned, Ybor is sketchy, but mainly at night. Go check out Ybor during the day, maybe swing into the Columbia restaurant for lunch.

If you have someone to watch your kid, try to book a reservation at Bern's Steakhouse.

Hard rock casino is great, I have spent MANY hours playing poker there.

Take your kid to the Florida Aquarium or the Lowry Park Zoo, both are great. There will be more to do around the Florida Aquarium though.
