The notion that men kill themselves because they feel they can’t talk about it…
Are there any actual studies that prove this to be true? Because I’m not really buying it.
I heard some feminist on a podcast saying that men kill themselves because of toxic masculinity and that they need to break the stigma about men being weak if they talk to someone about their problems. Isn’t that kinda victim blaming? It’s basically telling men that it’s their own fault for not seeking help.
I was talking to a former fwb of mine and I said something about how it’s the man’s job in a relationship to hold their sh!t together and not cry in front of their gf. And she said “Yea that’s why you guys die like 8 years sooner than women…”
Seriously? It couldn’t have anything to do with the fact that men work more dangerous jobs, longer hours, have biological differences from women, get destroyed in divorce/family court, etc?
Where is the evidence that men die sooner simply because they bottle up their emotions?

No. That’s what women think. That’s why the narrative is out there.
Anytime I see a woman posting about mens problems of ******** or whatever. I just reply with “that’s the way I prefer it”

It’s called alleviating collective guilt. They say that so they don’t have to admit largely they are responsible for clown world and society’s collapse. Why would men want to stick around this.

Men die actually 5 years earlier than women due to testosterone. "Men's hormone testosterone is linked to a decrease in their immune system and risk of cardiovascular diseases as they age. It is also linked to risky behavior: smoking, drinking and unhealthy eating habits." Plus some other reasons:

Men actually commit suicide more than women because they tend to perform violent methods of suicide like with guns, whereas women are more likely to take a bunch of pills and then get their stomach pumped.

However, you can't do studies on people who killed themselves, so you must infer.
So studies come from clinical information. That means therapists will notice that men don't express themselves about problems, will say they don't want to bother people, and so on. If enough therapists notice this then it will stimulate studies.
Conversely, stats will show that many men suffer from certain kinds of mental problems, have focused on success suicides, and so forth, which will then make researchers talk to therapists and men with mental health issues to see what they think.
However, by the time someone dies, you can't ask them what they think.
Another MAJOR issue with mental health is that people with mental problems typically DO NOT KNOW they have them or the insight into why.
Example, if I believe that I'm bothering people with my problems....I REALLY BELIEVE THAT and don't know the difference in ways to think and behave. So, if some researcher asked me I would say "I'm fine, I don't know....I'm just depressed I guess" or I might say nothing.

It has nothing to do with testosterone.
You would have to have men who maintained high fitness without obesity, alcohol use, smoking, sedentary lifestyle, and behavioral causes like that in a study to determine if a sex hormone killed people.
Men die because they are fat, do nothing to maintain fitness, drink, smoke, and so on, which means they are poisoning and polluting their bodies, not because they have male hormones.

I think it's more that men tend to be more insular with more things than women are. Really any kind of emotion men tend to hold it in more. You can argue it's nature or nurture, but it's there.
by the way tell teh woman that says "we need to break the stigma" to cram it up her kunt. She would absolutely think less of a man if he started blubbering about his girlfriend cheating on him.

The thing is, we live in a gynocentric social order where it’s implicitly stated that the correct way to process emotions is through a female lens. They don’t understand that the reason why men try to conceal weakness has an evolutionary purpose to it. In order to fight in wars, lead their tribes, etc men have to suppress their emotions for obvious reasons for survival. It’s something that is just a part of our wiring.
Maybe women should start suppressing their emotions as well. Maybe when something goes wrong like men fighting at the bar or some natural disaster, they should stop screaming like somebody took their toy because it’s absolutely useless. But I won’t hold that against them because they’re wired to do that and can’t help their instincts to cry out for help since they are unfit to solve the situation like a man. That’s why they scream like that. You can’t unravel their wiring and they shouldn’t try to unravel a man’s wiring to not show weakness either.

I was listening to a podcast the other day with psychologists talking about one of the major problems with diagnosing men with depression. The current standards are based on symptoms of women. Psychology hasn’t seemed to catch on that men can exhibit outbursts of anger, which is not part of the depression diagnosis. Men also tend to clam up. Women, otoh, want to talk about it. They Express their emotions morw directly. Men tend to keep it in.
Think about all of the young men being misdiagnosed and never getting help they need.
Yet another reason why we need to identify biological and mental differences in men and women. The future of the world depends on it. Srs
