Aren't you a mailman in the UK?

Are you doing a stint with the US postal service or something? Do they have work abroad programs with these types of roles?

A older white male from the Uk?

Stick to the French Quarter and bring a nose pin and a bottle of sanitizer.

NEW ORLEANS - Halfway through the year, an informal survey of nationwide per-capita murder rates shows New Orleans is on pace to reclaim its ranking as the most murderous city in the U.S. — and is leading by a considerable margin.

New Orleans had notched 145 homicides as of June 30, according to data compiled by Jeff Asher, public safety analyst for the City Council. That sets the murder rate at 36.8 per 100,000 residents. In second place is Baltimore, with a murder rate of 29.1 per 100,000 residents. Birmingham takes the third-place spot, with a rate of 28 per 100,000 residents.

Stay safe, brah.

Here's the murder map. You can use that for information.

I was there several times as I have some relatives in that state.

The French Quarter is cool and very nice, for the US.

However, there's some seriously high crime areas in that city and you can google them.

The black population is the most crime oriented and I thought it was sad because they seem "wacky" like something out of a 1930s movie. When I was there it seemed like slave times with white people barking at black people and the blacks being like "Yaaais Saaaah dat show is right" and was shocked. There's lots of black people aggressively begging for money and it's pretty bad.

I am guessing education is near zero.

I know a school teacher from there and he told me that many people don't even have schools because of all the swamp land. You can't build normal buildings and so they get what education they can.

If going out at night I would stick to well traveled areas. In the French Quarter there's people out all day and night.

The heat and humidity is incredible to the point where it feels like being in a spa, so dress appropriately.

The food is ridiculously good.

Even Bourbon St. in the middle of the day isn't safe. Canal St. the same. Stay safe, UK brah. It's wild out there. It's hot. There are hurricanes. You have the 9th ward you need to avoid. Food's good.

I don't drink much but I had MANY giant Mint Julips on Bourbon Street.

I enjoyed them so much I couldn't feel my legs walking around.

It's a great city for people watching.

I love crawfish, so get some.

I enjoyed this alligator sausage, turtle soup, and the hollow donuts Beignets and coffee at Cafe Du Monde, are fun to eat.

That place must make millions selling hollow donuts, lol.

I took a swamp tour in a boat and it was beautiful with alligators chasing the boat. Amusingly, they wanted marshmallows the boatmen would throw them.

Great stuff.

I was there in May as a tourist. Uber drivers know all the bad areas to avoid, we stayed at a B&B in the Garden District next to Lula Distillery and it was nice. Toured St. Louis Cemetery. Bourbon Street is for the young, it was fun though.

OP go to Houston instead. It's essentially a less ghetto New Orleans nowadays. It's still ghetto as fukk, but you don't have to be worried about being mugged everywhere you go. (Ded fkn Srs)

My friend's daughter lives in Katy Texas which is by Huston and the family tells me it's a Mexican gang hellhole.

These are people from Kensington Philly, which is a super hellhole, so if THEY think Huston is bad, I believe them.

Katy? It's actually pretty upscale for the most part. SW Houston - a little farther South and East of Katy - absolutely.

here's a pic of New Orleans crime map. The french quarter is just north of that interstate, next to the river. North of the french quarter is the ninth ward. Do NOT go to the ninth ward

My female friend is from Kensington and had a very bad life and drug problem. However, her brother made it big in sales and moved to Katy.

Her daughter is a teen and needed to get out of Philly, so she moved with her uncle in Katy.

They told me that Huston is not great and the Latin people there are very negative to be around. I can only imagine what all of that means because like I've said, this family from Philly came from HARDCORE degenerates.

That being said, Katy looks nice from the pictures I've seen. My friend went there to visit her daughter and she looked like she was in heaven.

I wish she would move there but she's addicted to Philly life.
