E46

Fookin love that car. Had an 03 for a few years with some simple mods like a tune and exhaust. The most fun car I've ever driven and I've driven everything from Ferraris to 1000 hp Supras. It's just fun as faurk can't even explain it...

I want to say E92 but I'd probably get the newest one just because I can't be fukked with repairs and breakdowns. Give me the newest with the latest tech.

I like them all except M3 E30.

E30 is the most over rated BMW ever. Literally slower and less fun to drive than Toyota GT86 lol.

All the rest of them are very special in their own way. There's not the best, they are just different.

New m3 grill is an abomination. Only a trash lease scumbag would own that thing.

They should have fired the designer and the managers that signed off on that

This is the kind of geek you'd see driving the car on the left.

I've never driven an E30 but def want to see what the hype is about. Closest was a manual E24 Coupe I owned for about 3 years. IMO the 80's to early 2000's was quintessential BMW. Back when all the German marques had their own distinctive feel and niche for excellence.

If value was no object probably a Phoenix Yellow E46 manual coupe. Followed by a euro spec Estoril Blue E36 coupe. Followed by the E30. I'm sure the E92 with the V8 is a monster but after spending wheel time in a 335i, BMW veered in a totally different direction that I don't like.

Of course I also want an E34 M5, E39 M5, E24 M6, manual 850i and so many other great cars from BMW's golden era.

I could find about another 15 for sale in the UK alone right now chief. Its an E30, not a Ferrari F50.

Used to be obsessed with the e46 as a teen.

I'd go with the newest M3. I dig the chipmunk grill.

I only like AWD sports cars because I live in a snowy climate. So none of them, I’ll take the new M5 competition.

Shirley you must be trolling by not naming the GOAT of M cars and probably GOAT of all sedans ever made, the E60 M5.

You've had the same profile pic for 15 years LOL.

I like the third from the back. The latest one looks too "techy" and sleek and not like a powerful car should really look.

Always loved the e36 and I’m not a BMW fanboy. Loved that era of e36/ Audi b5. I’d take the b5s4 tho over the e36

Loved my 2017 Comp M4, but the E46 is the one I grew up wanting. Drove a G80 a year ago or so and they get a bad rap for the grille, but the interior is identical to my M8, the carbon buckets are the nicest seats in any car under 200k and it drives exceptionally well.

E36 or E46 are just a driving pleasure. I suppose the G80 blows them out of the water, performance wise... but will never have that raw feel.

The answer for me is to drive each one and then select.

F80 M3, yas marina blue, 17 or 18" wheels, catless DPs and Bootmod3 stage 2 tune

This is the perfect M3 IMO. Not a fan of the older M3s (just wasn't into cars back in their heyday, they don't have any nostalgic value to me) and the E90/92 with its 4.0L V8 is really mediocre to drive (unless you live near a racetrack and that is the sole purpose of the car). Newest M3 is just an abomination, can't get over the design. This, however, strikes a perfect middle-ground to me with its GOAT exterior design and a 3.0L TT I6 that makes incredible power.
