Lancaster is where the people who can't afford LA live and commute daily. Along with Palmdale and the rest of the Antelope Valley is a dump.

Santa Barbara is a whole other world and what people think Cali beaches are like. The whole Central Coast is a real beautiful area.

Yes Santa barbara is really nice. I really loved the park next to the beach and how the whole city is consistent with the architecture style. Onle spent like two days there but I liked it a lot, I was super broke back then doing a long roadtrip so I could only afford to eat at costco lol, still had a great time. With the tiles and everything it doesnt like like an american city, looks like a spanish/mexican colonial town. I liked all of california tbh everything minus LA which was a total chithole

The weather along the coast is great. Hot as balls inland. Most of those places are pretty nice once you leave places like LA. It’s the politics and the people with massive offended sticks up their azzes that suck.

Yeah, Chad's was right by the park, which seemed to go on FOREVER. We pulled into town and saw people with jackets and sweaters and I assumed the whole town was retarded. Turns out it was just a lot cooler there than an hour and a half away. We first stopped at the park, then ate at Chad's (still no homo), walked towards the courthouse and stopped in at the shops. Then we got McConnel's (?) ice cream on the way out.

By the way, the food at Chad's (super serious about the no homo part) was incredible. I got the Prime Steak Benedict and took my sweet and precious time romancing that meal (nooooo hommmoooo).

I legit wouldn't mind going back and most likely will. We have a lot of dealings with Lancaster (West Coast Baptist College), so it's likely I'll be back in the next few years or maybe even months. I'd like to explore more along the Pacific Coast and some of the national parks that are within driving distance.

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't mind going back and visiting more. It wasn't as horrible as I thought. I hate all the red lights though. They always seemed to be red no matter what.

I usually go to Mount Baldy or Big Bear, but there are tons of other options as well.

I guess more specifically the best place to visit a mountain that has snow activities (snowtubing and snowmobiling, perhaps skiing). Is Mt. Whitney the largest mountain in Cali? I love the Colorado Rockies and was wondering if they compare to anything in California.

I'd more or less just like to play in the snow but views are important too. I imagine Tahoe/Shasta is more my speed. I've heard of those both. We drove eight hours to play in the Smokie Mountains when it snowed there in March. I'm from the Deep, DEEP south and it's hotter than 40 hells right now. I'm going to want to put some dink prints in some snow ASAP.
