It's funny you would know this, being how you're a rentcel that will never own any property/real assets. Keep it up, that $12/hr will only get you so far.

There are like 40 million black Americans. That's roughly the population of the entire state of California. Let that sink in. You're generalizing that many people, guys. Virtually everything you say is going to be a load of horsechit. Sure, there will be data to show differences, but there are also going to be a LOT of exceptions. And the exceptions are what makes drawing preemptive conclusions and treating individuals solely by their group wrong.

I'm looking for some understanding and for black/brown miscers to stop identifying with criminals and criminal behavior.

When grown men are running around robbing and murdering people with a NASA hoodie on you're going to get a lot of future astronaut jokes. It's not making fun of them for being dumb, it's because they are literally wearing NASA hoodies.

When people are putting up murals of George Floyd with a halo around his head as if that crackhead thief would ever see the inside of the pearly gates, people are going to make fun of "saint floyd". If you can't see that yes, the cop could have acted in the wrong, and that yes society is better off without a guy like Floyd breathing then I don't know what to tell you.

So grow some thicker skin and stop identifying with the thugs and druggies.

It’s a multifaceted issue

There were long historic periods of institutional racism vs blacks specifically that led to a lot of blacks being born poor and in poor neighborhoods. Those neighborhoods have bred crime and drug issues that led to generations of young black men falling into the thug trap, going to jail, etc

Couple that with there being a steep increase in single motherhood in black communities that started in the 1960s. No fathers around (Due to imprisonment, death or simply just leaving) has led to many black people growing up with no real direction and turning to the streets for guidance

Now fast forward to today. Institutional racism is, for the most part, gone. There are no more racist laws. Some may argue there are some differences in outcomes as far as college admissions, job applications, policing etc go, but that’s hard to really gauge. This could also go both ways (In blacks favor for example when it comes to affirmative action and diversity hiring)

Yet we still haven’t got to the point where blacks have caught up with everyone else. They still make less money on average, go to jail more often on average, still have higher instances of single parenthood, basically still doing worse on average except for niche top 1% situations like Hollywood and pro sports

So where do we go from here?

If you’re asking specifically what black people can do, I would offer a few solutions

Culture. Change the victim mentality culture. Put more of a focus on education and getting a good job. Take personal responsibility and put it at the forefront. Encourage friends and family members away from the thug culture. Encourage mothers and fathers to stick together. You can only control what you can control (This could apply for any group of people, not specifically blacks)

Look to what Asians, Indians and Hispanics are doing. Asians and Indians are basically the new whites. They are the most successful on average. Their culture is focused on education, getting a good job, and success, and not making excuses. Hispanics suffer similar levels of poverty as blacks but do not have the same level of single parenthood or violent crime

Stop falling into this Democrat traps such as the BLM group, a group that actively encourages the destruction of the family unit. Start voting for what’s in your best interest, whatever that is for you. Stop calling black conservatives things like “Uncle Tom”. The clan mentality needs to stop

We can’t change the past but you can change how you act and react to things every single day
This is very similar to what I would've posted. True non-racist conservatives I know IRL share a similar POV. Thing is blacks ignore their own cultural issues and whites ignore their ancestors part in it. This isn't something that's gonna be fixed overnight especially if dems keep pushing or pandering to the victim mentality. I think things will change as social media actually does a good job of showing disadvantaged people things like wholesaling real estate, trucking, or vending machine businesses.

One thing I'll say though is that most black people don't condone crime or thug culture. You're crazy if you think mothers enjoy losing their kids to senseless gang violence (inb4 crip mom). Miscers are too removed from the community to know about all the churches and organizations that directly try fighting gang violence etc. No one enjoys the consequences and for every "astronaut" you see on ********* there's 10 who abhor the destruction they cause.
Do not think that what is hard for you to master is humanly impossible; and if it is humanly possible, consider it to be within your reach.

I have to agree with a lot of this, especially the unrealistic expectation that everything now should be fine and dandy since Jim Crow laws are gone now.

With regards to the criminal justice system through, you have to prosecute crime. The systemic issues are beyond criminal justice IMO. Is it no surprise that a kid born in the ghetto has a higher chance at growing up to commit a crime? This has nothing to do with criminal justice system, but of community investment. Not arresting and not prosecuting will make chit worse.

What I'd like to see is leadership. Black and Mexican role models standing up and encouraging discipline, education, and hard work. Today it's about shoes, threads, looking rich. It's sickening. Yeah athletes say and do the right things, but none of it is emphasized and it's there only as an afterthought.

Agreed with alot of this. It's hard to have a "Malcom X" or "MLK" type leader nowadays because there are too many voices.

People thought Obama would be one, but not really. Leadership from the black communities are left to athletes and rappers and some of them don't always have the best ideas for the people, or have a rough time putting the right people together
