Telling the truth is illegal. You can bull**** all you want about moon landing, flat earth, and 9/11, but if you call out their actual lies then you're going to get censored.

Read [or saw?] yesterday that Israel is increasing the state controlled price of bread by 20%. And I saw someone posting in Alf's thread that "inflation is reducing" because prices aren't going up as quickly on things that people don't have to have [meaning not energy and not food].

Katya I am not disputing anything you posted, but do want to provide some context for the Israel bread price increase. The price of bread in Israel has historically been suppressed...if they're raising the price it's probably best interpreted as a correction.

No worries.

IIRC there are a few countries in the ME that control the price of bread which have also had to increase the price prior to Israel. My understanding was that the artificially low price was equivalent to food stamps for the benefit of the poor.

The implication was that they can't continue the artificial suppression in the face of rising grain prices, though I suppose in the case of Israel that may be partially a convenient fig leaf.
