Colt .1911 vs German Luger. Which one are you choosing?
Everyone knows the Luger has the accuracy and the Colt has the stopping power.
Which one would you rather have?
I’ve shot both of them years ago and was significantly more accurate with the Luger. But in a battle where my target is a human body I think I’d be more comfortable with the .45. The Luger’s grip is fukking amazing though. Wish they could combine the two.

I have a WWI 1911 brought back by a dough boy and six Lugers ranging from WWI, WWII, Weimar era reworks, and an Ost (Baltic) Fleet marked Kriegsmarine. A correct and matching Luger is more accurate and the 9mm cartridge was found to penetrate a German helmet during wartime testing (the .45 would not) but the Luger is a very complex weapon more prone to jams and misfires. If my life depended on a sidearm in combat it would be the Colt. Throw a P.38 into the mix and I'll take that over the 1911 without hesitation.

Walther PPK if i had to choose a WWII pistol for all purposes. I love my PPK
Out of the Luger and 1911, would choose the GI 1911 if i was going into combat and the Luger if i had the choice to add to my collection. Lugers are hella cool.
But the Glock 19 is the GOAT pistol.
