That's why the US can't simply tell China to Fuark off.

So every high end computer part, laptop, server, networking appliance, phone system and smart phone is junk? This argument is always pretty hilarious. If you look at the best electronics many components come from china. Just like a ton of chips come from taiwan - which is why china wants it so badly.

China to surround Taiwan and conduct “drills”.

Live ammunition drills

Either they will strike in the guise of a drill or
They will attack after Pelosi leaves..

Do you think Pelosi just booked a trip through a travel agent and has a reservation at the Howard Johnson for her trip to Taiwan. Do you think government protection hasnt been there for weeks if not months in advance of her visit? Do you think she just called up and scheduled all of that?

Pelosi doesnt go into the region if the military isnt prepped in advance and given approval by the commander in chief

Pelosi doesnt have access to the US military plane that was used nor the escort F35 if the Commander in Chief doesnt approve it.

The military doesnt have to agree with the trip. The military takes orders from the Commander in Chief. There are many times they dont like what they are told to do but they do it. Do you think Pelosi has the authority to even start the process such as ordering up a military plane for her travels? The Speaker of the House does not have this authority or capability. It has to be approved by the administration.

You arent arguing to be right because you arent, you are arguing not to be wrong. One is backed up by facts and the other is backed up by deflection and redirection.
Finally, after a wall of text, you understand the point I was making

If there were going to be a WWIII I'd want a week or two's notice so I could hit the druqs and degenmaxx during my final days on earth. But it'll be the first World War that will be over in hours, not years, so there'll be no time for that.

That isnt the point you attempted to make at all and is another tactic to make it appear your position isnt flawed and off base. Your tactic is to simply state those that have been disagreeing with you, over multiple post and with a contrary data set, are now actually agreeing with you. Its the type of tactic that refuses to address the data set that disagrees with your opinion but instead redirect to something not based in reality.

...and its clear you are just going to continuously post quips with the goal of endlessly deflecting and redirecting until the people that have called you out get frustrated and just stop communicating with you. That doesnt make your goofy position right, it means people just got tired of dealing with you.

The main fight would be AA systems and fighter jets/ aircraft carriers. I don’t think we would immediately do a direct attack on China but move to immobilize their entire military moving in the Seas around Taiwan.

What makes you think that two nuclear powers would fight a conventional war? If one side is going to lose (China in this case) it's going to go to nukes.

So they'll shoot the plane down and claim it flew into restricted space in the middle of a "drill." An unfortunate event, but hardly China's fault since the pilot should have known better.

Barteh you new to this planet? Nobody but the US is willing to take a loss, just review recent examples:

- Ukraine is willing to accept the extermination of their male population if it means they have a minuscule chance of Russia retreating
- japan was willing to fight till the last male until it got nuked
- vietnam same thing
- Afghanistan same thing

Only western nations are willing to take a loss and retreat

I have 2 points. The one you are latching on to is a question I asked to chalup in response to his assertion that Pelosi's visit is "100% backed by the US military". I asked for a source. In response he said "its common sense, they provided transportation for her so it is obvious they back this" I say "no, providing transportation does not mean they are "100% backing this visit"" you agree with me by saying "the military doesn't have to agree with the trip to accompany her". I think you are confused about what I am referring to here, and what you are responding to, which can happen when the full string of posts is not quoted.

My other point that I think you think you are responding to (but which you weren't) is that sure, maybe this is a strategic flexing by the biden admin. But also maybe Pelosi is doing this out of self interest or for any other myriad of reasons. You think I am fukking insane for believing the latter is a possibility (which is insane, btw, to believe the former is the only possible explanation when we have not been provided with any explanation for the trip).
