Just LMAO if you deadlift mix grip or deadlift at all!!!
You can't phucking tell me mixing your grip is "proper form." How phucking stupid can you be? What do you mix grip bench? How bout when you squat, do you hold the bar in position mixed grip? Underhanding deadlift is probably the most down's thing to do and you can only lift so much using overhand grip. B b buttt... Straps doe!!

Agree that mixed grip generally isn’t a good idea unless you powerlift and are OK with the risk of a bicep tear.
The imbalances probably aren’t a big issue for most people. The human body is meant to be assymetrical and complete symmetry would actually cause problems - if it was actually possible to achieve. But still, my OCD brain doesn’t like the idea of it.
I don’t do hook grip because unless you compete I see absolutely zero value in it. You’re basically using a more painful, less reliable form of straps. Jamming your thumb under the bar isn’t building grip strength.
