That’s not my point. He suggested NK was less of a threat because it’s not a world superpower like China. I’m trying to understand how that matters to a 70 something year old fat guy walking around out in the open. If NK meant to do him harm, would they have been unable to do so because they lack fifth generation fighters or an aircraft carrier?

Interesting

We ran hypersonic missile exercises in all major cities right before Pelosi arrived in Taiwan.

So China now knows exactly how Taiwan will react… lol nice. Chits going to be a layup for them when they do invade. They tried to bully America to leave Taiwan to them but failed. I’m sure China would rather do to Taiwan what they did to Hong Kong, have little to no reaction from America.

Well now China is mobilizing their military and enacting a no fly zone around Taiwan for a few days and doing live ammo drills from 6 strategic locations. I'm sure they're thrilled she made the visit.

She sped up Taiwans eventual destruction.

But it can't be the same guy who toured disaster areas and jumped in to help distribute meals to the victims.

The US wouldn’t be alone in any of this, we have plenty of top tier manufacturing capacity within NATO and allies

China’s manufacturing exists to its current extent only to service those highly developed countries. All of this was built up during the globalization experiment that has been happening for the last few decades and that is now likely in the process of unwinding.

We’ll probably end up with at least two distinct global supply chains rather than one massive global supply chain, or at least that seems to be the direction we’re headed

He looks much more fit there.

He's the kind of guy that would get his ass in gear because he got kicked around. I admire that.

Most of whom rely on parts from china. Let's face it, we rely on them way too much and have to make some major changes in shifting away from depending on their supplies for multiple layers of society to stay functioning.

The fact we have China making most of our Antibiotics is mindblowing. Think about that. From a national security standpoint we need to start producing semiconductors.l, chips, medicine HERENOW.

Great point.

Our government thinks China is our friend.

Chinese people are wonderful and so on but their government philosophy is in direct opposition to ours, so why would you trust them with important tasks?

If you are communist you are going to view capitalists as retards with low morals. So, the idea would be to use money to fool and defeat them.

So, China may give us a "deal" on making important items, but they would use those items against us.

It's only common sense.

Chinese people are "wonderful" until their government tells them we're the enemy. And they have been spreading their anti-American propaganda in house to prepare for the worse.

Do you think in an event of economic collapse in China the CCP will go down quietly?

I'm willing to bet that egomaniacs, ideologues, and dead men walking will be willing to take down the world with them.

Certainly.

However, Li Quang, noodle maker, is probably a nice guy who never thought of any of that.

We have lots of people like that in the US, very nice people who wouldn't hurt a fly. However, we have religious sociopaths running things and they do the exact opposite of what most Americans would think is right and fair. China likely has the same type of people running things.
