At least five people — including a pregnant woman and a baby — were killed and nine more were injured in a horrific, fiery crash involving multiple vehicles near a Los Angeles gas station Thursday.

The crash involved at least six cars and happened at around 1:40 p.m. at the intersection of La Brea and Slauson Avenues in Los Angeles’ Windsor Hills area, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

Three of the cars caught fire, sending a plume of heavy smoke into the sky, video from the scene shows.


The majority of the nine people injured are children, according to NBC Los Angeles.

One of the cars involved in the tragic collision, a Mercedes-Benz sedan, was speeding southbound on La Brea Avenue and drove through a red light, the California Highway Patrol said.

The Mercedes crashed into multiple vehicles, setting off the deadly chain of events.

Just earlier this week an entire young family in chicago was killed by a wrong way driver. Wife, and 4 kids died, along w/ a kids friend. Husband survived initial crash, but ultimately died couple days later.

Yup. Then a couple weeks before that a crash happened down the street where I grew up (chicago burbs) and two people died and 4 injured. The guy was drunk at like 5pm and swerve into the opposite lane. The car that got hit head on burst into flames. The mom survived but was in critical condition, but both the parents (both in their 70s) in the car died. Imagine losing both of your grandparents and your mom gets medivaced to barely survive. All within an instant because a career criminal low life is drunk at 5pm.

The world can be a cruel place.

Sad man, why was the dumb sloot driving so fast? Last month by my house. A dumb sloot ended someone's life when she rammed into a parked car on the side killing a woman inside the car parked on the street. Sloot was driving drunk at 6pm. Yesterday another sloot tried cutting someone off and got T boned. Heard the hit from my work

A similar crash happened down the street from my house 2 days ago. It was a drunk driver going 80-100mph and crashed into cars stopped at a red light. There's no surveillance footage tho but here's the article:

Very sad. Annoys me that its specifically saying pregnant woman and child, no mention of men dying in the news if there are women & children, we aren't worth mentioning apparently.
