Isn't it funny how people "pick" ideas they like from those who they consider wiser?
Isn't it funny how people "pick" the ideas they like from those who they consider wiser?
For example. They are "reading/studying" the person X, because they consider them wiser and are trying to "open" their mind/learn something. They agree with a bunch of ideas before they come across an idea that doesn't match the way they see/interpret life, or the utopia they want to believe. Suddenly, they thing they know more than the wiser person they are studying about that subject. They never think..."well, X is wiser than me, so probably I am wrong!". They always think "Well, X is wise... but he was wrong about this subject. I am the one who is right".
Example:
Same happens with the bibble, for example (just because it is probably easier to understand what I am trying to say). They believe Jesus Christ was perfect and wise (not saying he wasn't). So, they start reading what he said. When they come across something that they do not agree (lets say... bible's opinion on homosexuality) they think: "Well... this is clearly wrong. They were too "old fashioned"...".
If they disagree, they always assume they know more than the wiser person about the subject. They only read to validate the ideas they already have.

And in fact, I do have a house near lisbon (in Quinta da Marinha) which is probably more expensive than your whole networth. And thats just one of the houses I own.
It also has a 911 in the garage, which is more than you will ever have.
Plus I don't live in a 3rd world ****hole, which is more valuable than all the things that I own.
