That contactless payment method stuff reminds me of a time I saw some EMT worker and his partner come to a gas station counter with some energy drinks and donuts and other junk items.

The one EMT tried to pay using his Apple watch and either he didn't have it set up correctly or the gas station system wasn't working. He bitched a fit over it, "I don't ever carry a wallet, and I got to get to my job right away."

The worker was like, "Well, since you're a first responder you can have that stuff for free."

The EMT just said something like, "Finally! I gotta get out of here." Didn't even thank the worker.
