Feels like a deadline move just to make a move....or Cashman wanted to trade Monty for Bader with the hopes he could nab Pablo and it just didnt happen in time. something doesn't make sense.....and i' m sure he didnt want to pay Monty $10 mil next year. Just feels like this move didn't "help" us

That's my theory. They didn't want to pay him the $$ next year. Essentially did it to reduce payroll. Yankees being cheap.

i'm not at all worrird about this little .500 stretch.....its called the dog days of summer for a reason. 2nd wind imminent.........but hold off until September...just tread water for a little bit, keep the big division lead and 1st rd bye. Then turn it on......

I'll tell you how. Take away Judge's HRs and almost all his RBI's/Runs and I'm still leading the league in those categories. That's without factoring in his replacement stats.

I can't wait to get Ian Anderson out of this rotation. A couple double header weekends forcing the Braves to use a 6 man rotation for a bit but I hope he's the guy they drop out once the normal schedule resumes.

Whenever things are going bad I like to think of Manfred having to hand the trophy to Atlanta last year and it puts a smile back on my face.
