Im the only who cringes when bodybuilders call each other athletes

See it everywhere, on YouTube insta. What's up with that? What exactly is athletic about pushing grams of drugs and doing what every gym goers does in the gym on daily basis?

Unless your doing combat sports, Olympics, nba, nfl or any sport that requires training since birth, I dont think the term athelete should be used so loosely.

I can respect their discipline, but athleticism? Not so much.

Never really felt athletic doing a bench press or curling in the squat rack.

Thing is tho most athletes do far more demanding strenght training, and on top of that, they have to do conditioning (to perform at an elite level, not stairmaster for 1 hour and slow speed lol) and do practice for the actual sport they do.

Actually pro bodybuilders are the best at getting their stacks to give them maximum anabolic efficiency for the longest time without dying.

Exactly. & as if "dieting" makes it the hardest sport. Models "cut" all year. Does that mean fashion modeling is actually the hardest sport on Earth?

Unless your doing combat sports, Olympics, nba, nfl or any sport that requires training since birth, I dont think the term athelete should be used so loosely.
Look up the definition of the word, it fits.

You are using a media term of worship, not the real term.

An "athlete" is the same thing as an "intellectual".

An intellectual is a person who likes using their mind, likes to learn, study, and know about things. A person can do that entirely in private.

An athlete is the same thing only they are focused on mastering exercise or a sport. Again, they can privately be a great athlete and do not have to be on TV, etc.

Are Bodybuilders not just a type of model? That's literally what it is. Enter modelling comps, hope for sponsorships.

I do not claim anything.

I squatted that weight and didn't even think it was all that important.

That's what I'm talking about in my last post.

I have also read thousands of books and I am not looking up stats on people who read books.

I have biked 100 miles more than a few times. I had a supervisor who used to bike from Philly to NYC and back for fun, but you never heard of him nor has anyone else.

A big issue on the misc is having the mind of a homosexual, I'm not talking about you.

Being a "homo" is flipping out about the achievements of others and thinking everyone who does anything needs to be famous.

I often tell people on here to read their post to themselves in a "gay lispy" voice and see how it sounds. That goes for the OP's post.

I can't stand how these bodybuilders say they're athletes!!

Read that in the voice of an extreme ****git and you will get my point, stamp your foot while saying it.

Ban bet?

He wears a tshirt with paper written on it “hey misc” attached to it, and a bin laden mask to stay anonymous. Then squat just 900lbs, would still be fuarkin impressive.

Ray Williams squatting 1005 lbs

Ray Orlando Williams (born 1986) is an American powerlifter,[1][2][3][4] who currently holds the world record for the heaviest drug-tested, raw (unassisted/assisted) squat[5][6] at 490 kg (1,080 lb).[7]

Williams previously set the world squat record on October 17, 2016,[8] squatting an amount of 1,005 lb during the USAPL Raw Nationals, making history with the first-ever raw 1,000+ pound squat.[9]

Another guy who actually squatted +1000lbs and promptly shook hands with Arnold.
