Anybody else glad the end of summer is in sight?
I'm just over it at this point. The heat and humidity, getting drenched in sweat every time I venture out, the blazing sun, p haggots out in their gardens making noise and having barbecues, getting bitten by insects, etc.
Enjoyed July spending time on the Adriatic coast but at this point am just over summer and looking forward to cooler temps, shorter days, crisp mornings, insects disappearing, wearing something other than shorts and T-shirts, etc. And then aver autumn (oh sorry, FALL), the GOAT season - winter.
Guess all the summer lovers out there won't relate but at least some Miscers must feel this way?

I moved to a place with no seasons (San Diego) so fall is whatever to me.
but yeah typically I enjoyed the cold shift at the end of summer.

Winter used to always depress me and summer was peak season when I was younger. Now it's switching. I like to hike and I love taking my dogs but can't because the heat could kill them or just cause organ damage. My German Shepherd lays on AC vents, she can't stand the heat. On the same token, sucks pouring sweat. Plus living in GA the winters aren't bad and Florida is close by when the cold gets to me.

I love everything about summer except the insects. I'm dreading the cold.
It was in the 60s and cloudy today and it felt miserable. I miss the 90s. I'd even take 100s over this, and it's only going to get worse. 😔

Sick to death of being bitten by horseflies. Those things are no joke.
Can't even imagine being one of those expats (sexpats really) that move to Thailand or the Philippines and don't have seasons, it's just perpetual summer. Would drive me crazy.

Yeah I'm so tired of the beach, festivals, hot sloots girls dressed lightly, beer gardens, etc.
I'd rather stay at home and be cold all the time.

I'm getting used to summer here in Florida. This summer has been pleasant. What I don't like though is this time of year. the worst of the hurricane season has arrived. the next 5 weeks will be hot, muggy, and somewhat stressful watching hurricane forming and moving around the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico. Fingers crossed no hurricanes come here.

It's not so hot in Poland, I'm just sick and tired of hearing dogs, kids and groups of adults outside my window as if it's a play area/social club. I hope for rain most days just to keep them indoors and I can keep my window open without disturbance. When I moved here there was my building and the one opposite being completed, hardly any apts occupied. Now it's approaching 8 buildings, urban development here can get phucked - I guarantee it's foreign investors milking the public and ruining the area with copy-paste bullchit.
Don't get me wrong, I like dogs but Polish people aren't exactly trainers of the year. You can hear incessant barking from time to time.

The only things I hate about summer are the high heat/humidity and bugs. Mosquitos love me unfortunately. lol It's been brutally hot here this summer with back to back heat waves that have lasted weeks. Now it's cooled off and high 70's to low 80's and I think it's going to stay this way for a couple weeks. If it were always like this in summers I'd love it.

Yes, but it's because I have a big project that has been stressing me out for about 3 months and has basically ruined my summer and will be completed in two weeks.
But yes, the humidity was awful for about 3-4 weeks before this past week and it completely threw me out of my workout routines. Was sweating so much that I couldn't get a decent cardio workout in anywhere, even the gym. Now it's much better, and I'll have to play catch up for the next 4-6 weeks.
