Anyone else always hope bad events happen

Like World War III, massive famines, global economic collapse, or a huge asteroid striking Earth. People are most content during hard times.

I was happiest I have been in my entire life at the beginning of the pandemic. Now that things are back to normal I am depressed and constantly hoping society goes down the toilet.

No, the only bad events I slightly root for are chit like tsunamis and hurricanes but not because I want human suffering, I just find the natural occurances so interesting.

They are beginning to replace soldiers with robots and drones. Most guys in the military I know just hang out at base all day doing trainings.
