What groceries should I buy for $33.60 ?

I need to go to walmart and get some food to last about a month.

I can make bread at home and already have tons of stuff but it is all "prepper" food and I am sick of eating it. I have 80 pounds+ of rice, chicken, tons of canned soup, canned chili beans, canned tomatoes and tomato sauce, tuna, canned vegetables, about 8 pounds of honey, tons of peanut butter, all the condiments, even stuff I will never use like oyster sauce and things.

What are some things I can buy at walmart with $33.60 that I can eat for a meal a couple times or maybe once a week that are easy and taste good?

I was thinking some tortillas and lettuce so I can use the beans and chicken I have to make some sort of burrito thing

Maybe some diet cola? I haven't had soda in a long time, I only drink water.

Maybe some ice cream. I haven't had ice cream for probably 5+ years. Last time I think was when I had a gf and we bought ice cream that time. So yeah 5+ years.

Maybe some bacon and eggs would be good. I could put those in a tortilla.

I need to buy some onions and potatoes though and that is gonna cost $10 of the money. idk what to buy

I'd say you should get some food. They have cheap food at walmart. Good luck bro.

I think I might buy some potatoes and butter and onions.

I like to make these foil pouches with sliced potatoes and onions and green beans and put them in the oven

I have an air fryer but haven't used it yet. I got it for christmas last year. Maybe I could try to make french fries.

Sorry my post wasn't clear. In 2020 I went psycho and bought 2 years worth of food. I have been eating it while once in a while buying fresh carrots, onions, potatoes, and chicken quarters about every other month and just eating the "prepper" food I bought. But I haven't went to the store since april and have been eating the same stuff every day and am getting sick of it. I got a $50 walmart card for my birthday and have $33.60 on it and want to treat myself to some good and probably not healthy food, just something different until my scholarship goes through and I get my tuition refunded back to me, cause I used the rest of my savings to pay for my tuition and dont have money anymore.

That might buy you a box of crackers in Biden's economy.

33.60? For a month of food?

What’s going on boyo?

Can’t say I haven’t been there.

If you just want snacks I’d get like $5 worth of those powdered drink packs. you get like 8 in a pack for a dollar. Then maybe 2 packs of the 30 count sandwhich cookies.

The rest I’d spend on meats and different pastas. Maybe a couple can of beans with what’s left.

While you’re in there ask if they’re hiring

Been there brah. Hope things get easier for you. Sounds like you have a lot of the staples. For $33 I would get the cheapest tortillas, eggs, potatoes, whatever spices you need to make things taste good, and then get some ice cream with the leftover cash. It doesn't sound like you're at the risk of going hungry, or that would be a whole different scenario. Good luck out there.

Some longer lasting fresh veggies...

- onion
- carrot
- celery
- cabbage
- potatoes
- maybe peppers

or if you don't like celery/peppers/cabbage then some store brand frozen veg maybe.

^^^
Might hit $15 with just that.

- tortillas
- bread
- salsa
- eggs [if you like them]
- butter
- cheese

^^^
Probably about $12 or better.

Leaves about $6 for treats if you like...fruit that priced well, candy, ice cream, etc.

You would have to buy the least expensive stuff...cheap bread and tortillas, store brand cheese/eggs, etc.

ETA: if you are hoping to make it a month watch your dates and put the bread/tortillas in the fridge.

Go to a food bank. They will give you like 3 bags of groceries when you're in a pinch. My sister does it.

If you read what I said I said I wanted to use the rest of my $33.60 on my walmart gift card on food to treat myself. Ended up getting onions, potatoes, frozen pizzas. Cant even make a normal thread without 9 people negging me this place has really gone downhill wish people could be normal people instead of filled with evil rage over nothing at all.
