Do you support capital punishment (death penalty) for treason/sedition?
On the one hand it’s one of them most serious crimes possible. Especially in the nuclear age. Arguably, betraying your entire country is worse than anything you can do to a specific individual
On the other hand, the death penalty is final, there is no going back. Judicial systems aren’t perfect, mistakes can be made.

Interesting how the President of the United States has the authoity to classify or declassify anything he wishes. There is no classification authority above the President.

I think once one innocent person has been executed capital punishment has failed. You can let a guy out of prison but you can’t unkill someone. This is why I oppose the death penalty for any crime which sucks bc there’s a lot of scumbags who have committed actions which forfeited their right to keep living with us.

I’m not sure that’s an effective control mechanism though, leaving it up to one individual.

Depends
If states started to threaten secession from the Union because they want off the clown car Joe Biden is driving then no.
If those same states sent their national guard to capture people like the Clintons or Bidens and try them for treason, yes

The only former President to be pardoned was Richard Nixon by Gerald Ford in 1974. What was Nixon's crime OP? You need to do some research.

Not sure if state law enforcement can enforce a federal law

Probably not blanket DP for treason, it depends e.g. if it was minor treason maybe not, major treason then yes. I support the death penalty for rape and murder and the adjustment of all criminal punishment to suit (filtering down) as well as scrapping the hotel prison system we have now.
There is very little justice measured out nowadays, dgaf how hard your life is/was, if you hurt other people then you need to pay with your life or time in prison needs to be harsh -both serve as a deterrent.
Too many bleeding hearts nowadays want to make everything sunshine and rainbows, sometimes solving a problem effectively involves making hard choices that don't feel good.

Of course I might be wrong.
Anyway, what say you on the poll question?
Hang ‘em or let ‘em rot in jail?

No because they'll count people standing around in the capital as traitors and not the ones giving billions of dollars to non-allies(among many other things).
