Depends on your macros since thighs are more calorie dense due to the higher fat content.
That being said, thighs taste SOOOOOO much better, and are much easier to cook since they don’t dry out like like breast does.

if you got some sauce on the meat the breast is ok, thighs for grilling or baking preferably. still prefer red meat but chicken is ok sometimes too

There are pros and cons to both chicken thighs and chicken breasts. Chicken thighs are generally more flavorful, but they also have more fat. Chicken breasts are leaner, but they can be dry if not cooked properly. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference.

I eat chicken breast most of the time, but when I make chicken for dinner for the wife and I, it's thighs every time. It's pretty hard to screw up chicken thighs compared to breast IMO.

Thighs or breasts?
Yes.
Learn how to cook breasts properly and they are great, but in general thighs > breasts in every way except macro content. But even then boneless skinless thighs are not that much fattier, especially if you trim off any excess prior to cooking.

my parents loved everything overcooked - well done steaks and my mom's chicken makes me gag just thinking about it, it's so dry. So as I kid I preferred dark meat chicken and even turkey cause the greasiness made it more bearable. But as an adult and having it cooked right I liked the breast over the dark.
But I only really eat rotisserie chicken now and I just pull it all and mix it up so I guess I don't really prefer one over the other.

I prefer breasts. People don’t know how to cook chicken breasts most of the time. The slices need to be even and they need to be cooked whole. If the slice is uneven, they will cook at different times. Also, you need to use a thermometer. Once it hits 160, you stop cooking it. The remaining heat is enough to hit 165.

But I came home I think after college and I was in my early 20s and told my dad not to overcook the meat he was grilling and he looked at me completely shocked, "really? you like it that way?"
It was weird

As far as cooking I typically either smoke them or throw them in the air fryer, you could also sous vide then sear in a cast iron afterwards. The key to juicy smoked boneless tits is to pull them when IT gets to 155⁰, not 165⁰. Killing bacteria is a function of temperature AND time. When you slow cook like on a smoker by the time it gets to 155⁰ it has been hot enough long enough to accomplish the same thing that 165⁰ does instantly.

Thighs, no question about it.
I find that a really sharp knife and an extra few minutes of prep work go a long way. I get about 6 pounds a week of the boneless, skinless ones. I'll trim off all the excess fat and nasty stuff and split into two gallon ziplock bags. Add half a bottle of Italian dressing to each and marinate for a few hours. Coat with Calgary chicken rub and grill to 165. Tasty as phuck.
I think they work so much better for meal prep since they don't dry out as bad when re heated.

I go back and forth depending on recipe/time/energy. I love to cook and cook 5-7x per week. Have some thighs in a brine right now to make Chicken tinga tacos tonight. Going to smoke the thighs first and make handmade tortillas. Let the el mogging commence.
