All of your basic needs are met

You have food, water, internet, and shelter taken care of indefinitely. You don't have to do any work or anything else unless you want to.

What do you do with the rest of your life?

If you're an American, that's already the case. Just for breathing, you get welfare to pay for the roof over your head and other programs for basic necessities, including food stamps for your food.

It's just that most people don't want the absolute bare minimum, so they choose to work for more usually.

So to answer your question, the only real answer is to lay down and rot, that's what someone accepting all the free government cheese long term wants out of life.

Depends on how much money I have.

If just basic needs, then I'd invest in cool programs to help the homeless. I have some ideas that have not been done before.

I'm not sure if it's that easy to get on welfare and food stamps. If so, why does it seem like the American attitude is work or die?

It is that easy. Now in the instance of a dopehead living under a bridge, then there are other issues that make it difficult to get their taxpayer benefits, but they are available nonetheless.

Some people just sell their food stamps for drugs, etc.

But the access is 100% there.
