Regarding gold, man I was super into that chit a decade ago, mostly silver tho. Literally refreshing kitcos gold charts like I was on the misc when it shot to $48/oz. I think a little bit is cool, like single digit percentage of your wealth, but it doesn't produce chit. Better put your money into stuff that either does things or produces wealth.
well you goofed up. there's a giant cup and handle, along with worldwide inflation issues, and serious geopolitical wars coming, gold is a must have.

like i said in a previous post, gold 25x before and will do it again.

If the SHTF that bad, where will your gold be worth anything, OP? Better to purchase brass, lead, and training.

I don't think so. Price of gold is exactly where it was when I sold all my Ferdinands and ASEs. Might consider it now tho with what the fuks going on, but we might be on the tail end of all that nonsense.

Literally every country where financial collapse has happened the people with gold and silver were saved financially. That's your currency.

The bullets and guns guys are so LARPY it is "cringe" to listen to. I laugh at how many people think they live in a hollywood movie.

If you're buying it for the reset after the crisis

You're assuming you'll be alive

So,you have stockpiled hand grenades and machine guns to protect your tuna fish ?

Yea I forgot currency doesn't exist in SHTF. Have you guys ever read a history book?

So let me get this straight, water and tuna are going to get you through these issues? Please tell me your end goal in that situation. Just trading bullets?

All of these things should be part of your plan. If you rely on bullets and guns and cans of tuna to survive, you're dead.

99.9% of people don't know how to grow food, where to get water that isn't from the grocery store, have zero community, and zero idea about anything. Instead you have people that only think surviving a SHTF situation is have a bunch of guns and bullets! Gold and silver? No screw that. You don't need currency that's been used since the beginning of time. No way.

Most people don't even understand the utility of gold and silver either. But yes, put all your stock in guns and bullets and nothing else. You'll surely survive when you rely purely on violence for survival.

nobody wants gold. srs. it's a scheme in modern day.

think about it.

do you want gold? why? because other people want it?

ok...well they only want it because other people want it.

and those other people only want it because you want it.

nobody actually wants gold. it doesn't do anything. you can't use it. Some people can use it for advanced technology but YOU. YOU cannot use it. you have no use for it. It's useless to you and everyone that wants it.

yeah, when people say SHTF scenarios they're literally thinking of "The Road".

news flash, that sh*t aint gonna happen.

Best thing to do is to prepare for SHTF SITUATIONS. the kind where your portion of the world is devastated but the rest is fine "hurricanes, fires, etc."

Trade goods are fine. That doesn't mean there is no use for currency to act as an intermediary.

What if the person who has the tuna doesn't want your water? What if they really need something else? How many trades with how many people do you have the time and energy to transact in order to get the goods you really want?

Well if you don't prepare at all then I guess you are assuming that you will be dead.

- food
- medicine
- household goods
- personal care items
- drugs, alcohol, cigarettes
- pet supplies

- fishing/hunting gear
- food preservation gear
- seeds
- tools/hardware
- energy [battery, solar panel, fuel, etc.]

- weapons/ammo if you roll like that
- paper money and coins [not imaginary money in a bank]
- small amount of physical precious metals

- commodities
- crypto [but which one?]
- land
- homes

Also, and maybe more importantly:

- knowledge
- skills
- physical strength/health

Survival of the fittest is a phrase for a reason. Diversify.

Never ever buy or sell at a pawn shop. Go to your local coin shop or a reputable online coin shop like Apmex, JM Bullion, SD Bullion.
