Not really.
I'm not saying "Huh, what does it matter anyway? One side's as bad as the other!" That's the kind of thing that morons voting for someone they know in their heart of hearts is a POS say.
My point is the tards that go, "How can you criticize Trump's admittedly very obvious shortfallings, when Hunter Biden is so BAD!?"
are just as moronic as the ones that go "Forget about how BAD Hunter Biden is, it's not important, in comparison to how SUPER BAD Trump is!!"
It's not like some kind of see-saw (teeter-totter?) where the worse one guy is the better the other guy becomes. The 2 things are not connected, and should be considered separately.
If HB is a crim he should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Same goes for Trump.

What if the crime he committed involves his father though. That would mean the president is also a criminal

He’s a smart guy but even the smartest men can be blind to truth when they choose a side rather than staying open minded and critical of the overall situation.
Me too, and it's sad to see. I admired him for his intellectual honesty but this is a clear case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.

I stopped subscribing to his podcast the day I listened to to him and Nicholas Christakis talking about the vaccines, directly after listening to a Dark Horse podcast with Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying.

Bret and Heather were looking at studies, using logic, thinking critically, following the data as objectively as they could...

while it was like Sam Harris was teaching a fukking Grade 2 class, treating the listeners like they were fukking morons:

"You see, vaccines are like seatbelts. They will be a big help to you if you ever get covid"

"It was a nice idea to look at antivirals as early treatment, but they just don't work" (while making precisely zero reference to any studies, real world data, Uttar Pradesh etc.)

I listened to it about 10 months ago and I still get mad about it to this day. It is amazing how seemingly smart people can just deceive themselves.

Hopefully he can learn a little humility from getting ethered like this, but I highly doubt it - he will probably just retreat further into the safe space of the liberal echo chamber.

Not sure what your point is. That would mean he was a criminal when he was elected, and it was public knowledge that he was a criminal when he was elected, and a lot of people knowingly voted for a corrupt political criminal of the worst kind because they were so upset about that awful Trump that it just didn't matter

If the fbi and doj went after democrat politicians (Clinton, Biden, etc) with the same veracity that they’ve gone after trump… how many people would already be in jail?

Lying to Congress? Tax evasion - not reporting using a car and part time apartment? Complete nonstories except if you are subject to Soviet style witch hunt by the Washington DC elites. When "they" want you, the tax code is their last refuge. Almost every individual who files more than a 1040 could found guilty of something. Insider trading is another. Everyone high in government and finance talk behind close doors and trade info. If you are part of the system, you're fine. You step out of line and they comb through your financials and find something a nail you. Imagine thinking Martha Stewart is the worst insider trader. She has nothing on the big fish, and everyone knows.

If you play the same standard to Democrats, they will all would be jailed as well.
When they “went after Clinton,” they gave everyone in her orbit immunity, including the person that she directed to delete subpoenaed evidence. In the IG report, there are documents showing the agents laughing about interviewing these people and catching them in lie after lie, and there story changing over the interview session. No charges. These people were allowed to give interviews in front of one another to corroborate stories. The list goes on.

In trumps orbit, they directed foreign spies at people like papadapolous to give the illusion of a crime. This includes mifsud, halper, tawil, downer, etc. they had tawil give papadapolous 10k in Cyprus for a business deal and wouldn’t take no for an answer. Papadapolous knew it seemed sketchy, so he left the money with a lawyer in Europe and was immediately arrested when he got to the US- they thought they were going to entrap him with the money they planted, but he didn’t have it! They ended up charging him with getting the date of his meeting with mifsud wrong… keep in mind mifsud was their own spy they sent in to dirty him up.

The same can be said about how they manufactured a crime against Flynn.

Same fbi… grossly different handling. One they ignore crimes, the other they manufacture crimes that didn’t exist.

For starters, you're misusing the wordveracity. Veracity means truth, the truth of a statement. The words you were looking for are vehemence, fervor, zealousness etc.

Now I don't understand why you're constantly simping for Trump with these victim cards on his behalf. Trump isn't some counter-culture hero nor an old school battler. He catered to the rich with his tax cuts and deregulations. He cheated his whole life to get where he's at. His family fortune is built on lies and deception. He lost more money than any American for a decade. His businesses sank like the Titanic and his whole career is attaching his name to stupid vanity products.

How on Earth do you consider him sort of authoritarian strong man fighting against the Deep State or the Swamp? He hired arsonists to the fire department in all respects. Devos, Munchin, Ross, Pruitt. It's the A Team of corruption and incompetence. His billionaire buddies radically unqualified and with massive conflicts of interest. His admin had the biggest turnover of any by a country mile.

Sam Harris wrote a book called The End Of Faith where he argues people should be punished for thought crimes.

He also tried to debate Noam Chomsky and got absolutelybodied for his bs.

I'm a pantheist, and a leftist and I hate Harris. He and his writing has no redeeming value in any context.

I'm not a leftist but I am an atheist and this is a perfect example of why most lefty atheists are hypocrites that literally worship the state.

He should stick to his terrible moral philosophy arguments.
