I watched House of the Dragons & it was just alright in my opinion.

No sjw so far, there is a black lord that was apparently white in the books but he seemed okay to me.

I’ll probably wait until all episodes are out then watch it.

For me, which I watch it for something to watch and not like I'm Siskel and Ebert, it was OK, and I'll keep watching for now. The black guy is SO out of place in his role it seems really forced. Seems like they could have rang their diversity bell so many other ways but it's as out of place as if they had a blue haired feminist with a hog ring in her nose at the table. Maybe they'll explain it later but idk. There was also a point when the dragon blew a 1980's looking fireball at a funeral. Could be a lot worse though but it's something to watch.

It was OK. Has potential for sure. As Misc predicted, certain types on twitter are loving it as if this shows universe wasn't ruined. They should have redone the last two seasons without those money hungry producers (srs).

The actor playing the Targaryen prince is really good. Plays the role perfectly.

But the whole time I was watching it, I had the ending of GoT in mind and was just thinking whats the point?

I’d say that the first episode was competently put together. Not bad but nothing that will blow you away. The female empowerment stuff is kept at a minimum so far but the cgi for the dragons is proberly the worst part of the show. I gave up on GOT at season 5 so I don’t remember if the dragons always looked so bad. But the best part of the show is whenever Daemon Targaryen is on the screen.
